Eh got a question guys,

Is it possible to purchase directly from Apple US?
But I have read their shipping FAQ's apparently they only do shipping within the US state.

Anyone mind to me clear this confusion.

meaning they ship only in 50 States (i don't know about Rhode Island tho, but they don't cover that). For ur goodness, it means it doesn't ship to you (outside US).

Called Maxis "123" and they gave me the ol' "go to the nearest maxis store" excuse..

/rant

sigh.. so much for customer PHONE support...

If they're not even willing to TRY to ask what is wrong and the first thing they tell you is to go to the store... man.. bummed out by maxis support peeps.

I guess the reason repetitive Qs are being asked over and over again is because this thread is 61 pages long right now and there is no FAQ on page 1. Someone with the initiative and drive should just do one up - don't look at me, I'm lazy.

I just realised something yesterday as I was unpacking the new Nano (which came without a charger btw if anyone's interested). The iPhone USB charger is the same one for iPods (5V 1.5A).

To another question posed earlier, to set EDGE/GPRS, just type in the APN name of the telco and if required, the username and password. Go to : Settings -> General -> Network -> EDGE -> APN. Call your telco to get the necessary info.

I picked this up from the internet, not sure reliable or not.

Operator: - DIGI
GPRS APN: - diginet
Username: - {blank}
Password: - {blank}

Operator: - Maxis
GPRS APN: - internet.gprs.maxis
Username: - {blank}
Password: - {blank}

Operator: - Timecel
GPRS APN: - timenet.com.my
Username: - {blank}
Password: - {blank}

Operator: - TM Touch
GPRS APN: - internet
Username: - {blank}
Password: - {blank}

I thought that the I-phone is at the moment only for US market as it is tied up with just a service provider.

You have the option to buy without activation of contract.

To be exact, the only way to activate with AT&T account is using 1) iTunes 2) u must get out of the store first with unopened plastic bag and iphone box as soon after u paid for it (yes meaning not like you buy phone in Malaysia u can check2 or open it first talked with the rep or anything).

So basically every iPhone buyer buys without activation contract. Contract is your choice in front of your on computer on the iTunes. So technically no matter where you buy, you don't buy iphone and immediately got 2-years contract with AT&T. It's all on you and your choice.

OmniAtlas, if u leave the network also, there millions other users out there, unless all the phone in malaysia is iphone then maybe its possible for them to take action asap and reducing customers to run to other network. haha!

Well, as a service provider, I hope they know what they're doing. If they think I'm just one customer & don't give shit about it. Very well, they don't deserve my money. And to be sure, once I shift telco, it's gonna be a few line together (family & close friend).

And it might affect more if the bad reputation spread out in my community.

Just wondering, does the Maxis call in problem occur on the 017 prefix as well? I know most of the people who've tested are actually on 012.
