I need some advice from any forumers. I purchased a house in 2014 from a lady, Mrs Wee ( 2nd Owner of the hourse); which Mrs Wee bought the house from the Mr Tiong (1st owner) in 2008. Currently the house is rented out.

My problem is that since 2014, I had received multiple bills from multiple banking/telco company etc directed to Mr Tiong (first owner), which I returned back to the companies.

Recently things gets worse and I got letters to my house directed to Mr Tiong (1st Owner) by a law firm and debt collecting firm requesting Mr Tiong to update his contact etc. One of the letters even stated they visited the house but unable to find him.

It seems like Mr Tiong has been using the housing address as his even though he is not the owner since 2008

I will contact those law firms and debt collecting firms to clarify with them later.

So, is there anything else I can do? Should I make a police report?
Seems like this Mr Tiong is in a lot of debt as he has multiple requests from different party requesting him to pay his debt. I'm worried if some of his "Ah Long" friend come and visit the house.

Edit: - I don't have any contact with the Mr Tiong and don't know where to find him.

Nothing much u can do except to make a cover police report on this issue to protect your interest and for the official companies, photocopy the pages with the names from 1st owner to 2nd owner and 2nd owner to you. Give it to them for clarifications. As for the "ah long" most of them are reasonable after u clarify and prove that you have nothing to do it the first owner. Hope it helps.
