1440p at 27 inch is perfect biggrin.gif

But hard to get new ones for his price.

Nowadays, there are a few options for 24 inch 1440p and 27 inch 4K.

TV is not suitable for gaming because
1. Colour - TV colour is normally worse than monitors
2. Response time - Normally TV has much higher response time, so for playing games you will feel the "lag"
3. Lower lifetime - from my own experience TV usually break down much quicker than monitors, in fact I never have any monitors that become faulty before while the living room had already gone through 2 or 3 TVs
*
just share my experience

few months ago i bought a sony 40inch tv and use it together with my dell 23inch as it's not syiok anymore watch movie on 23inch monitor

colour - if you use it for general use it's no difference

response time/input lag - TV is much slower than monitor but some TV have like below 20ms its not great but acceptable for gaming

reliability - same, it's all depends on luck..any brand will also break if unlucky..thru the years i lost count how many monitors and tv broken on me..electronis nowadays is like use and throw..nobody make things that last 10 years anymore like last time

to add:

pixel density - 1080p on 40inch tv text wont look as sharp compare to 23inch 1080p monitor, the bigger tv the worst

if you do alot text TV is not good unless go for those 4K tv, gaming depends what kinda games..but if like me abit of both of everything a tv is a good option or best of all use both together lol

I had the same experience with you. Once I use the huge TV screen for movies, I don't feel like watching movies on anything less than 40inch TV.

I think to add with the use of big TV, easier to have local multiplayer games such as Street Fighter series, Double Dragon Neon and etc.
*
yea, watching movies the bigger the better lol i also look at alot tv and dig deep found that sony uses VA panel, VA panel so much better doesnt have the glow like ips so watching movie is so much better

i play world of warships on it and its fine, dont feel any lag just very normal but not recommended for fps

My LG 47inch TV is ips.

What do you mean by glow? Too bright?

Separately I am using a 27inch Benq Monitor at work (which I think it is a VA panel).

when on dark background or displaying dark scene ips will glow, its like someone shine a light thru the panel

its quite annoying to me, maybe because its a cheap ips panel cheap monitor so poor quality and the glow is much worse
