Guys, im a newbie in performing/playing,started singing in a choir like back in october. I recently joined a band, and yeah im still pretty new in many ways,....i have a very weird issue, i have and okay range, my voice is okay..not to say Micheal jackson or any pros you know, im just your average joe who loves to sing (and really really reallly enjoy doing it), but my issue is, my rhythm can be easily thrown off by many variables, and I wanna know especially the experts/more experienced ones, how do I improve on my rhythm/ "internal metronome" so that i can keep time more consistently. I tried to follow a metronome and well, i keep loosing the metronome. I only sing, i dont play any instruments, any thoughts and ideas are welcomed...thanks!

Yes that works in karaoke/minus one, my tempo just works then not perfect but works, but when in a band setting is like either it does or doesn't, am i possibly feeling something the wrong way?

then pretty much your external clock is not good

so go on working on it until you can last a song or two

then remove the beats so you can build your internal clock
