 Back up by saving files in pen drive, Windows 10

I save all my documents into my flash drive. Is it called back up?
Windows 10 itself have a cloud services. When you format the hard drive and reinstall Windows 10, Windows 10 automatically to restore the important apps and certain programme. Is it reliable?

Yes. That is backup. I assume you are referring to Onedrive. Onedrive is reliable, but it's better to backup your files in your external drive or create image backup like this

Yes, but before you reset, go to settings and backup your data into a drive

Office365 claimed that you can get 5TB of storage? Currently I have 1TB using 365 Home subscription.

I think, for me, only own one copy cr**ked software, for personal usage, won't be charged any law issues.
