Why you should go to Super GT 2007, It's a Religion and an Obsession!

The Japan GT ... now called Super GT as it is being held across the globe, from its hometown Japan all the way to Malaysia and the United States. The Super GT features fast cars, cute Japanese racequeens and fast paced in-paddock action. With this, I wanna poison invite all DSLR, prosumer and point-and-shoot members of LYN to join me in this interesting and fun event this year (and the years to come) ... Even for 2 years back, we have an influx of Malaysian girls gracing the event, from pre-event pagents to roadshows to promos. Our girls will all be there and you can see all of them, none of them weren't offered jobs for this hot motorsport event. If you're not the 'girl' type, you can check out the fast cars, off-circuit events i.e concerts by local artist, race parties, etc. It's all there! This thread is specially dedicated to this 'religious' event. "Once you're caught, you're hooked! Malaysian racequeens (L) Codee, Kei Kei and Sabrina ... they're extremely friendly and will pose for anyone. This one Kei Kei saw me on the second day and was so happy! I got to know Codee and Sabrina only during end of 2004 during a pagent.  |

Meanwhile, over at the Pit Building ... there are OTHER types of 'subject' on hand : Japanese Racequeens. This one, I caught cute lil' 22 years old Saya Misaki cooling herself down with a cup of fresh orange. Racequeens dun sit with us at the Pit Suite, they have their own rooms just next to the Paddocks but they occasionally come up to our place to attend press gatherings, team gatherings and even makan. Sayachan stays the same hotel as I did, the Pan Pacific KLIA. Later you will see really makes fun of me, I had plenty of time to shoot her until she starts to make funny faces at me! The word I tought her ... "Nama saya Saya"   |

For the Practice and Qualifying Day, just walk around shooting candids and should you manage to eyeball one Japanese girl, just 'corner' her and shoot. Make sure you move in a group, Japanese girls love gangbangs group shoots and they will keep on posing and posing and finish your memory if they can!! A Girl in Yukata being interviewed ... racequeens have their own slots in motorsports channel in Japan according to my Japanese photographer friend. Closeup shot of a lovely Project mju Racequeen, Rui Tani. She is my Japanese photographer friend's favorite girl. She has a normal kinda look but a very very nice girl, sometimes it's a pity they do not understand English at all, some will struggle to talk to you and it's considered good if your message can get across. For short photo sessions it's okay, just gesture like you would a normal session and they will understand. Japanese girls have dozens of poses you can safely compose on, no sweat!  My Singaporean friend (blocked) and my Japanese friend approaching Rui for an autograph. That guy had no chance at ALL to approach her in Japan during Super GT becoz either there were too many 'hooligans' (according to him) swarming the girls for photo or no one is allowed to go up close. In Malaysia, he feels like KING!!  |

White lenses are not compulsary but few others things are :
1. Sufficient memory to burn the entire day - 4GB Minimum
2. Sufficient power to consume the entire day - I burnt 1 Li-ion + 1 3/4 used at day end
3. Lots and lotsa of water for yourself - It's burning hot in there!
4. Patience - You'll find that 10 Hours at the circuit is not enough! LOL!!

1. A OTG HDD would be better alternative to a notebook but the drawback of not being able to check out your pics once you're back at the hotel. 2. Sufficient for a day's use but make sure they're fully charged EVERYDAY. 3. Depends on your consumption, 3L should be enough. Drinks are VERY expensive there. 4. Races are over slightly before sundown so there're plenty of sleep time but for me I stayed at Pan Pacific KLIA so there're plenty of 'after race' events for me i.e dinners, beer sessions at the bar, etc. |

If you go in as the normal public way, you'll have to spend Rm150 for the entrance to the Granstand and another Rm120 for the Pit Walkabout to get to shoot the Japanese racequeens. Parking is Rm10 per day if I am not mistaken.
If you're from KL/Selangor area I suggest you go back home coz hotels around the area would hike up their prices long before the race! It's cheaper to travel back and forth the circuit trust me!

Pit Walkabout is a temporary pass where to get to walk along the paddock for 45 minutes for Rm120. Pit Suite Pass is the entire package where you stay at the Pit Building but you can go anywhere you wish (except the Ladies).

Hey, If I just get the Mall Area ticket, what are the chances of getting a good view of the paddock/pit area? Or is it more advisable to pay that extra RM100 to get into the mix? I know RM100 will get good shots of the gals..... |

This is because you are able to shoot the potraits of the ladies as well as have a 432mm equivalent zoom which is good for closeup shots of the cars passing by during the race. As for the cost, Its not so expensive. Its RM150 For the mall seatings and an additional RM100 For the pitwalk.
