im on wizard path, currenty lv60 and linker1
i plan to go for this either build:
1. wiz>pyro1>linker1>pyro2>pyro3>linker2>featherduster
2. wiz>pyro1>linker1>pyro2>pyro3>cyro1>featherduster
my focus would be PVE and solo lvling, perhaps a chance on public world boss. my 2nd option, i chose cyro1 just to have different 'element' with quick cooldown for my wiz
my idea build based on this public build at tosbase:
3. wiz>pyro1>pyro2>linker1>soc1>soc2>featherduster
any suggestion which build i should go for? or any suggestion for further customization?
i didnt go for soc2 due to need additional card for summoning, and it drains SP real hard. and that Templeshooter card for newbie with low income..

actually firewood doesn't cost much once you reach my lv. problem is the SP potions but even then i feel it's manageble, since most of the time i don't use mana potions except for bosses or emergencies so i can keep costs low. Firewood u use a lot especially once templeshooter drains up all your mana or after your done and want to rest. usually i'd just dispel him and resummon only when needed so i don't have to bonfire too often for downtime.
but when you do bonfire, always summon cat familiar then use bonfire. also the SPR passive sorc skill you pay to learn can help a lot and reduce bonfire resting time so you don't lag behind party in dungeons.
takes some time and investment which is where i'm at to get this to work well. i'll report back my findings

once i've found out.
anyhow was playing around with the calculator for possible builds for a sorc
http://www.tosbase.com/tools/skill-simulator/worth going lv3 sorc? lets see....lv 3 sorc you can level up skills like the summon to
1.8x INT for attack
1.8 SPR for defense
lv2 sorc caps you at 1.3x
evocation and desmodus not sure how good these spells are, but basically their just nuke spells that consume SP
as for other skills, cat is maxed at lv 5.... so no point going lv 3 sorc for it. Seems the only way for cat to 6 is with the help of priest buff. Maybe there's even a monster gem for it, who knows. But i heard lv 6 cat companion is awesome.
Summon familiar basically you go from 11 to 15 bats... i don't think it's that big a deal to be worth going sorc 3 for.
salamion has more stat increase potential but i only bother to spend 1 point only, so to me this is useless since it was just an after thought skill i got.
So essentially Sorc lv2 is good enough imho.
worth going rune master?QUOTE
Rune of Destruction
Inflicts powerful damage to enemies in a targeted area. The attacked enemies will deal additional damage to other enemies by reflecting magic.
Rune of Ice
All Ice-type magic cast by you and party members except for deployment magic will be stronger for a given duration.
Rune of Giants
Creates a temporary magic circle that will turn you and your allies into a giant. Giant players are considered large-type and will have their HP and defense increased. Limited usage of skills.
Rune of Justice
Creates a frontal divine magic attack in a straight line.
Rune of Protection
Increases the chance of resistance of you and your party member against status ailments.
what interested me about rune master was the giant buffing skill. 100% HP buff ?
but then i read the little quirks and additional costs entailed for using rune caster
QUOTE
All of runecaster skills require full charge to be released no matter the level. Each cast costs a Rune (500 silver item bought at Runecaster Master) aside from the SP cost. Currently the cast time of all five spells is 8 seconds without Quickcast. You cannot move while charging unlike energy bolt. Cast will be interrupted by damage unless you have Surespell.
Hagalaz - Ground target AOE heavy damage skill (similar to meteor). Every target hit by the initial blast will release an energy ball that will hit another monster. Long cooldown.
Tiwaz - Line AOE medium damage skill that casts in the direction you are facing. The spell particle effect goes further than the actual hitbox of this skill. Can fire in one of 8 directions. Weaker than Hagalaz but it's cooldown is shorter.
Isa - Short-range party buff. Boosts ice damage by 300% for the duration. Does not work on persistent ground effects - Hail, Frost Cloud.
Thurisaz - Casts a short duration rune in front of you. When an ally steps on the rune they become a giant, unable to use most skills. Swashbuckling is still allowed. Giant form boosts maximum health, movement speed, defenses. If you jump on enemies you will do damage to them, like Super Mario.
Algiz - Party buff that increases resistance to status effects like Freeze, Petrify, Hexing, etc.
QUOTE
At 5/5 Quickcast reduces cast time by 50%. So 4 seconds with Wiz3 and quickcast. Surespell is a Wiz2 skill while Quickcast is Wiz3.
Hagalaz is good anytime you have many monsters in one spot. Or a boss surrounded by it's traps/adds. It's also good for oneshots in pvp as long as there are 2 or 3 people near each other.
Tiwaz isn't very useful. Hard to aim, damage isn't that great - but it's useful when there's many mobs stacked or in a line.
About Isa - the former. It means your party members (fellow cryomancers) must be near you when you release the cast. It's a buff on you, no need to worry about being restricted to an area.
Thurisaz is fun. It's uses include: fooling around, using on a peltasta to make him tank better, walking through maps faster. In reality it's not needed and most people will ignore your rune. It's terrible for DPS.
Algiz makes debuffs have less chance to work. Debuffs are binary in this game: they either work or they don't. There isn't a partial effect or lessened duration/effect.
overall for extra added cost buying runes ontop of skills that aren't necessarily top notch, also pre-requisite is a WIZ C3 MUST HAVE or forget about going runecaster. Doesn't seem worth it to me, especially since i'm not a cold build so i get even less value from it. So as a Sorc not sure it's worth it

Dark Theurge: 25 spirits, 32 seconds cooldown [+50% QC Att., +10% Warlock's Att.] (Currently considered best scaling skill in the game, unless it gets nerfed it's bound to have 75 total hits on max level, that on a 32 seconds cooldown, with 2 multipliers AND attributes. Needs Linker to be efficient as 25~75 hits are not much when spread, but a lot when multiplied)
Pole of Agony: [10+3*(time in the pole)]*(number of targets that touch the pole) hits, 120 seconds cooldown. (Yes, this skill has a cooldown too long, but that is because it is a very OP skill. Take this into considerantion: Hangman's Knot makes all linked targets come right in front of you, not being able to move or attack for a few seconds. Pole of Agony AND Sleep are both casted right in front of the player when not moved. This is the best skill combo that no one talks about, Pole is not huge because of it's AoE, it's huge because those DoT's are shared so linked (and HK'd) enemies take much more damage, those still in the Pole share it's hits and take the DoT's from the ones who already left)
Invocation: 5 hits per killed mob (Don't need to say much, 15 hits per killed mob at circle 3 for the cost of only recasting a buff from time to time, that and making dark skills 30% stronger, still have to adapt my gameplay to make the best out of it but well, that's the point of the game)
dps wise as a dmg supplement to work with temple shooter i think this is good for now as a rank 7 class.
worth going for necromancer+sorc combo ?
QUOTE
If you want to play Necro, Sorc 1 is fine. You get a pet that's strong and simply hard to control.
If you want the Sorc pet to be a focal point of the build, you need at least Sorc 2, so Necro then becomes a bad choice as it would only be 1.
QUOTE
Necro is more offensively oriented. Sorc is also offensive but it has a support option and its summons Drain stats whereas Necros does not. Sorc Summon can be more powerful then Necros Shoggaloth but Necro also gets Skeletons and technically if you go Sorc 1 Necro 2, Necro can also have the Salamander. Sorc has active control of their Summon (Riding) from C2 onwards, whereas Necro does not
personally i was initially leaning toward a necro sorc combo becauz in the older tos build it was possible to combine both classes, leaning more heavily into necro. but then they nerfed the combo and pushed hold from c1 to c2.... so you couldn't get a manageable temple shooter without going c2 sorc. leaving not much room for necro....
so rather than have a weak necro build, i decided to go for warlock instead which i feel now has more value in comparison.
skeletons in necro looks cool, but all the other skills are poorly designed and looks like shi-t

which is a shame.

https://www.reddit.com/r/treeofsavior/comme...leshooter_card/https://www.reddit.com/r/treeofsavior/comme...ecrosorc_build/Anyway this is why i like my current build after researching about it before commiting. cauz it's well thought out as a late game build and takes into account any future nerfs by adding classes that are least likely to be a hindrance.
That said i wish they added in some newer secret classes for mages that will be similar to this
http://overlordmaruyama.wikia.com/wiki/Ulbert_Alain_OdleQUOTE
Abilities and Powers
Ulbert Alain Odle is the strongest magic caster of Ainz Ooal Gown. He was equipped with the strongest magic caster class called the World Disaster, a class with incredible firepower. On top of that, he took levels in classes which further specialized in offensive ability. By attack power alone, he was easily among the top five in the guild, but he had a weakness. Though he had an ample supply of MP his consumption rate outstripped even that, in other words, he burned through MP quickly.
Active skill
Grand Catastrophe: It's an ultimate move which requires 60% of his MP. Its destructive power surpass even super-tier spells.
that would be sweet
