Why close account? Just keep rm100 inside.
*
Thought abt it but at RM100 it doesnt qualify for trust declaration.

Need advice from sifus. My relative opened a ASW account many years ago when newly launched. Those days very hard to top up so he never bother. Inside only min RM100. Over the years he forgot abt this acct and even lost passbook. I told him the acct is considered active unlike normal bank savings acct. Am I right?

He dare not go check or top up $ cos he is a bankrupt (he is making mthly payment to Insolvency but it wont be so soon to clear his bankruptcy status.

Anyone knows whether he can continue investing with ASx even though bankrupt?

Yes, that is right. Dark blue font. Old one is light blue.
Yours in separate sheets taken from the bank?
I saw it's all glued together like a receipt book. They tear off 1 piece for you when requested. No more putting whole stack on the table.

This version is better than old one. Font bigger easier to see. Darker colour too. Paper is thicker. Also write phone number in case something went wrong they can call you.
*
The old one still can use? I was at ASNB just last week and they still put the old ones at the counter.

old form are used for ASB transaction because the fund not upgraded yet to new system.

all those fund that have upgraded to new system require to use new form that I posted previously  icon_rolleyes.gif
*
Oh that one I know. So the one that we have always been using for ASx deposit (the one that looks kinda purplish) is still the same as wht you posted la right? You mentioned dark blue font, light blue font.....I got confused a bit. Thought there is another new form out smile.gif

the form I posted purplish meh? it's more on dark blue right  smile.gif  the light blue one must be the old one. the smaller one like banks slip size  dry.gif
*
The big new Form looks purplish colour to me....I always tell the counter person I want the Purple Form when I need to get forms biggrin.gif . But in your picture it looks blue-ish. That is why I thought it is a new form.

please post the "purplish" form? I want to see it.

I normally use the blue form that posted previously. didn't see any purplish  hmm.gif  hmm.gif
*
It is exactly same as what you posted. Just that I see the actual Form as light purple colour. Don't have any with me now so cant post. I took a few from ASNB office last week so I think we are talking about the same forms la. Maybe colour perception only different tongue.gif I will confirm with the ASNB person later this afternoon as he is coming to see me regarding my Trust Declaration issues.

Sign on the spot, pay RM100 (current promo), get it acknowledged by Pesuruhjaya Sumpah (RM 8 for me, auntie got RM6), then passed back the documents to PNB. An official document is supposedly sent to unitholder in about 2-3weeks' time (haven't received in my case).
*
I know that RM1000 is retained by ASNB while contract is active but is it ASNB deducts this amount straightaway from our ASx account now?

The unit is blocked = deducted from account straight away but in reality it's still there, and will get dividend also...or so I was told...
*
OK, that is a relief. I just updated my password and the teller brought to my attention that there was a withdrawal of RM1000. Since the Kod is different from the normal Withdrawal Kod, I pretty much guess that it must be due to the Trust Declaration. The ASNB agent didn't clearly explain this to me.

Why do most of you have a preference for ASW over ASM or AS1M, if let's say all 3 have units available? Dividend wise they are almost the same right...around 6.2-6.4% range?

Can put in Kenanga Growth Fund UT. Return is 9% pa. smile.gif
*
Sorry, out of topic....how is Kenanga vs Public Mutual?

Back in the 90s, dividend for ASB went as high as 13-14%. If there is other ASX back then, I think we could have been enjoying dividends around 9-10%.

Nope. Just enough saving for early retirement. Live a simple life. The more you earn the more you spend.

Living a simple life is now my life philosophy too. Unfortunately I won't be able to have early retirement like you though. Wish I was more serious in my financial planning years ago.

Has anyone received their official 'pengisytiharan amanah' from ASNB? I was told it takes 3 weeks for them to send it to your address. This is my 4th week waiting for it.
*
Am waiting for mine as well. It's coming to 3 weeks of waiting. I was told by the agent that if no one is at home to receive the registered letter, it will be sent back to ASNB. They won't leave a notification card to self collect at poslaju or courier centre.
