Anybody here already past the accumulating unit stage? Whereby now just sitdown and collect dividends for monthly use..  notworthy.gif

I have stop buying ASx. But I am not depending on d dividend for expenses yet, salary will cover that. Hopefully without touching it will double in ~11 years at which time will use it for retirement. Along the way if there are better opportunity I would diversify. Currently I think this is one the best tool for parking funds.

2nd september.

Banks usually are damn hard to get.

better go to ASNB branch directly just for your tips.

Do another good deed, sell on 1-9-16 Thursday so buyer get 1 extra month of dividend.

YOu might want to consider EPF too. EPF returns are more or less same with ASX FP. Besides you are retired already which means you can withdraw your EPF anytime you like.  rclxm9.gif

In the last 10 years(2006-2015), EPF ave 5.855 n ASM ave 6.708.

For this period, RM100000 invested in epf ->176620, asm->190770, upon death, fees incurred for Pengisytiharan is ~rm2033+100+10x10.

They mentioned in the letter regarding rm50k limit about transfer of units. Was thinking can ASNB transfer the units without it being snatch up? hmm.gif

If yes,  I don't think there's need for Pengisytiharan.
*
If a investor is gone, wont be able to transfer units.

ASB2....16.6% of the investors own 90% of the fund size.

So the rich is getting richer. Wonder who they are, the cronies, the unnoputra, etc?

If ASX can be pledged for loan, a good percentage of investors would grab it.

would that reduce the ASX dividend to 5% or less? if not me will stay put.

if switch out to other funds, what u have in mind that can give good returns?
*
I think short term it will affect ASx performance but then most others has plunged while ASx is still +ve. Good time to diversified to other investment during the chaos, so open your eyes for values in LYN various investment threads. Many sifus around. ASX is a good vehicle for parking funds with reasonable returns.

my kids now all above 18. so anything happens to me, they get their money 100%, no need to give a portion
to ASNB...
can save few thousands why not? let my wife and children get 100% of my ASX....

Without pengisthiharaan, your family will get your ASX in terms of cash n not units, n will take longer.

wait till dividend falls below FD rates....or FD rates go higher than ASX return.

AFAIK it happened ONCE during 1997&1998 financial crisis.

not easy to find returns of 6+% with similar risk. UTs? i just bought KGF and CIMB GTF and it has gone down also....

Too bad u  bought it b4 BREXIT

i mean my ASX is already in their names. anytime they can withdraw.no need to wait .
using that pengistiharan, every million you have, ASNB will take RM4250 from your beneficiary!

might as well before we die, put assets under their names, same for my properties also.
*
To each his own, if u think your family can handle your wealth well then OK. Those still under your name when u face sudden death will still require these tools for distribution.
