i see you leave the books with the staff.  My experience with Maybank is that the staff will need the supervisor to verify the transactions when successful.. so probably this approach won't work..

It was allowed by their branch manager , and i know the teller well also.

Auntie twinkle has the habit of chatting up anyone/ everyone including ASNB staff & security guard too while waiting for my number.  blush.gif
The old unit of Asnb Shah Alam was small and crowded with many waiting outside on Monday. Once I got my ASM book, I shared my success with all Pak Cik & Mak Cik there too. rclxm9.gif  rclxm9.gif  I guess everyone there was amused seeing my happiness.
On my 2nd visit, the security guard recognized me and we started chatting about everything while waiting there. Once my number was called, I was probably the only customer talking non stop with the ASNB staff again. blush.gif

Since I'm checking out few banks for ASNB at each visit, I've always having the need to look for rest room. To my surprise, 2 of my neighboring banks allowed me to use their staff rest room which was a big  thumbsup.gif

Actually I just blurted out loud that I need to look for rest room and they offered me to use the inside staff room.
Of course. I was accompanied by their staff for security. By the way, I'm very new to the 2 banks, not their PB customer & I just opened BSA with them to facilitate transferring $ from my principal bank for ASNB transactions since I was carrying cash every day.
One will never know whether you're allow into their rest room unless you try and ask. I've asked 2 banks and both said YES.

For some cashier which help you try unit first then only take your cash later, if after that you realized you didn't bring enough money, then how? They will key in a withdrawal transaction or do cancellation?

No such thing could be happen , if thats the case happened , then they may get suspected.

So far, my teller know me well, and i didnt put them down also. This is to gain their thrust against on you.

For small amounts, I have encounter before they only take the cash from me after they confirmed they got the units. After I give them cash then they hand back the passbook. But before trying, they didn't ask me to give them cash, just ask me the amount and i tell them. So that's why I wonder what if I mistaken how much I got in my wallet then later can't pay them.

if the teller trust u. they might let u go withdraw & bring back cash later.

but it's not gonna happen for sure. because they needed to use own money to top-up if any problem biggrin.gif

My case just first time meet only they did not take cash from me until unit confirmed. But of course passbook not given back until I pass the cash.

You mean they cannot cancel the transaction or enter withdrawal unit into the system. Like say just now grabbed 100u, then after that set withdraw 100u.

I think should be possible. Or else, how the ASNB can take your passbook during sales for 1 week using the banker cheque - if the cheque unable to clear, they have to withdraw the unit out right. But first they have to confirmed the unit as well on day 1, otherwise when cheque clear maybe no unit already.

okay. now that u mention it. u could be right.

last time I did gave bankers cheque to ASNB. they print immediately on the passbook & top-up slip. they keep for 1 week. later I go back & pick up the passbook biggrin.gif

guess they have "special" code where they can withdraw dry.gif
