Tried to top up ASM/ ASW for my niece- but no more units available after earlier transaction.

With OPR reduced, more people will be looking for ASX FP!

I was at the bank trying from 12:15- 1230, no ASM available.

Update:- Top up for family.

(Internet connection problematic yesterday to today)

14/7/16= Stayed at 1 bank 1 hr- Checked every 30mins- Total 3x.

ASM
1st attempt- 0
2nd- 5 digits
3rd- 4 digits.

ASW- 0

15/7/16

1st visit- ASM- 0, ASW- 0

2nd visit- Stayed 1/2 hour.

1st attempt- ASM-0, ASW-0

2nd attempt (after 1/2hour)=

ASM
1st- 5 digits
2nd- 4 digits

ASW- 0

I have no connection with anyone, just bank staff who is willing to help me each time I approached him at the counter.
I will just sit and read bank's newspapers if unable to get any unit. I'll retry every 30mins and finished reading 2 newspaper (Star & BH) within 1 hour max waiting time.

If I can have access to ASNB system, I'll try every 5mins.

I'll not monopolize the staff's attention even though there is no other waiting customer. It was good of him to attend to me every 1/2hour. Most of the time, I'll let other walked in customer to go ahead 1st as I can wait a bit longer.
I believe, if it's my luck & timing, it'll be mine at the end. No need to 'rush' for it.

Units not for me. I'm just helping out to deposit for family member and top up 'ang pow $' for my niece.
One doesn't needs to be VIP/ PB/ BSA customers to be given excellent treatment by this bank, from the security guard to the best bank manager.


You have to try all the banks and find out which gives away the best service.
I only have 'connection' in HLB but unfortunately, they're not ASNB agents.

<45mins waiting - 3x( ASW- 0, AS1M- 0)

1st try-
ASM-1k

2nd - 20mins later
ASM- 0

3rd- 20mins later
ASM- 5 digits.

Completed top up for her account.

No more top up until 1/9/16 for ASW.

Good luck to everyone trying. Keep trying and don't give up. Auntie twinkle's skin already very thick, no need to feel embarrass sitting waiting for timing and luck.
Actually I learnt sitting there from an older granny helping her daughter's family to top up. An advantage having newspapers to read too.

I did try ASW & AS1M too but 0 during my time. I can wait until ex dividend date. No rush.

100% true. 1 customer cut Q ahead of me, tried but BIG 0 for them. When it's my time, I was 'rewarded' for being 'patience'.

Despite the heavy rain and flooded road here, I was determined to finish topping up and drove out slowly during off peak hour to try.

& luckily my effort paid off.

I was quite surprised when the staff managed to lock in 5 digits today on my 3rd attempt. Luckily the heavy downpour stopped and I can drive with a home.


Not impossible as I'd locked everything in within much shorter period.


May- June were very easy indeed.
I'll just wait for ASW on ex dividend date too.

You must sacrifice your time if you really want it and keep on trying if you've a target. Auntie has already too much in ASX. Will just wait for ASW ex dividend for top up a bit more.
Unless someone ask for my help, no more visits to hunt for it. The most now will be 1k- 2k as it'll be part of their monthly salary saving.

I'm hoping to get a little bit of ASW for my nephew too as his book has only little units but too lazy to try for such a small digits.

I was at 'the' bank to place FD while waiting for ASW ex dividend rate. I did check for baby units of ASW for my nephew but none available.
