I understand your concern. However, your method restricts you to top up ASNB, in that bank.

As the experts always emphasize, the chances are better, if we invest huge amount in ASNB office, instead of agent banks. For that, we need to carry huge amount of cash, when we go to ASNB office.
*
Going to banks / ASNB are same for me as everything is still about timing and luck. I've carried max 50k to ASNB before and not much luck in 2hrs waiting. At the end, came back with 30k+. As usual I carried my big umbrella with me as protection.

Am waiting for mine as well. It's coming to 3 weeks of waiting. I was told by the agent that if no one is at home to receive the registered letter, it will be sent back to ASNB. They won't leave a notification card to self collect at poslaju or courier centre.
*
I called up ASNB, Shah Alam and the staff said to wait till end of July as there were massive applications to process. If one yet to receive after 2months, to give them a ring to check.

I saw many last minute applicants at ASNB on 30 & 31/5.

i mean my ASX is already in their names. anytime they can withdraw.no need to wait .
using that pengistiharan, every million you have, ASNB will take RM4250 from your beneficiary!

might as well before we die, put assets under their names, same for my properties also.
*
I presumed each and everyone of them have a personal will drawn up already.

If you outlive any of them, you'll still have to go through the whole process to claim the ASX & properties under their names. One never knows when our time is due.
I've a personal will written up already but after looking at the pengisytiharan, the advantages > disadvantages.

The offer is simply too gud to resist

actually thinking back, FD nowadays is 4.3 roughly while our ASX funds is around 6%. So in a way u r earning around 2% only. That is with a lot of hard labour. Imagine lets say u have 200k in it which will take a lot a lot of effort just to get the units. Extra 2% compared to FD is like 4k extra only yearly? to get the units for 200k is a lot of hard work already
*
nod.gif nod.gif I'd managed to divert my May FD straight into ASX.

QUOTE(kkk8787 @ Jun 25 2016, 11:00 AM)
ya if u can leave ur book there, its really good. I was just hoping it can go even higher , lets say 8%, that will be great. Maybe just a tad too greedy. Now Im still doing the hardwork of going ASNB every now and then. Oh ya thanks bro Ramjade u were the one who intro to me ASX a while back
*
If you have cash & time right now, work extra hard to capture it as soon as possible. If I can do it, you can do it too.

If u choose PA for ASx, then dun specify ASx in your private will again as this is conflict

Luckily I didn't include ASX inside my current General will.

Today went to try again.    Kosong.     I wonder how long it too to top up to RM200k.
*
If you don't have 'connection', the only way is multiple visits per day to few banks + ASNB. (That was me biggrin.gif )
Also check how helpful is the bank staff. The local banks (CIMB & MBB) at my area have standing order that they can check 1x/ request.
That's mean if you ask them to try $10k. They'll check 10k only. If none, they'll not try smaller units.
If you're busy at work, try and ask your non working family member to help you (my neighbour auntie helped her working daughter & grand kid). Bank staff is more helpful seeing elderly granny/ grandpa sitting patiently. Somehow she also got senior citizen privilege ahead of younger me.

200k target/ account? - not impossible. It's still about luck & timing.
AS1M- 20 transactions in 7 working days.

ASM- 22 transactions in 8 working days.

ASW- 39 transactions in 18 workings days

QUOTE(prince_mk @ Jun 29 2016, 03:51 PM)
I was motivated by guy3288 and aunty twinkle.

But now no more bullet.
*
blush.gif I have extra bullets waiting and searching for 'parking' place now. sad.gif Unfortunately too much in ASX already. Can consider topping up AS1M as it has the lowest units but it's already beyond my personal target. Managed to place max limit in EPF and still looking for more stable non risky places.

Up to individual comfort level.

For someone like me (non high risk taker), I also sometimes find difficulty in finding ways to park elsewhere.  Other than FD, property and ASX, I dont know what else to do.  Im not into shares at all.  But meanwhile still hunting for more ASX (but not very lucky, haha).

Im a full time employee so thinking of topping up my monthly EPF contribution.  Do you think this is a good idea?

Would appreciate sifu's advise on more stable non risky places too  biggrin.gif
*
If you have ready cash now, better just top up ASX until it reaches your personal target 1st. Do you have 3 accounts- ASM, AS1M & ASW? Is there any Affin bank nearby your place? You might have a better chance at Affin as it's quieter and less ASX transactions there. They're still on 'restricted' license- no ASB transaction yet until Sept. From my experience, Affin staff is more helpful than the other banks.

QUOTE(familyfirst @ Jun 30 2016, 09:43 AM)
Should I try before or after lunch?    I sudah 3 days in a row pergi sana.  Only 1 day successful for 1k saja.    icon_question.gif
*
There is no good timing as it's up to 'sellers' time to get out of house/ office.

How about Affin bank? I've never taken any Q number as it's a quieter branch & staff is always welcoming since I'm 'regular'.

2pm have once.. still take Q number, but don't needed to sit.. take number, straight to counter  biggrin.gif

Previously, your recommendation to try Affin Bank was the best advice I've followed.

My neighbor's auntie always visit bank at 3.30 pm on her way home if she needs to top up.

I'd called ASNB and he told me to wait for at least 2 mths as there were many applicants in May. (I had mine done on 27th May). If yet to receive by end July, to call them back to check.

Me? Told you guys already what. RM150k/book (upgrade already. Previously RM100k/book). but still far away.  biggrin.gif

It's easy to reach your target goal if I presumed you're young and single with no debts/ loans commitments yet and still stay in in your family home.

Target achieved before 1/6/16. But ASM & AS1M are beyond ++ as it was 'too easy' to get them during my visits to banks.

hmm.gif Now still figuring out what to do with the extra $$ if I reduce AS1M (1/10/16) after ex dividends later as I'm rclxub.gif 'struggling' to find 'parking' place for my current matured (today) & maturing July FDs.
