For working people, better deposit part of your salary regularly. I''ll occasionally check ASW availability on my way out only but no more 3-6x/day. Today 100% not trying.

You need to make effort to go out & try.
Send a 'wakil' if you can't go. My neighbourhood grandma is topping up on behalf of her family members.

My last working place, I was lucky to be able to save 100% of my salary every month and now part of it are hibernating inside ASX.

Not much $ left, only small xyz figures inside other account. Must transfer here and there. Can take it slowly until end of the month. Today, too tired to chase after anything. Let others have it.

You should go & top up during lunch break. I can go anytime but just not today. It'll be easy for me as my XYZ digits not very BIG. It'll be inside before end of June if I focus on it. No more active hunting.

Auntie twinkle not looking but there are many more aunties looking for it. You're just lucky someone selling it today at the right time.

Met a young auntie back from the bank with a good 5 digits ASM top up just now. Luckily I'm not hunting for ASM now & forever.


Auntie still got fund but no fun placing too much here. Needs a bit of excitement to shake this cushy retirement phase.

It's only possible to buy & sell if the banker willing to do for you, depend on the bank limit too. Only RHB , you can try to buy >50k & sell off >50k as other banks limit too low. It'd not be possible in Affin and I plan to use July FD$ to get ASW later & sell off some others after ex dividend to balance the amount I wanted to place inside. No plan to go beyond my set amount.

(Will be out of topic. Majority hibernating & dividend stocks.)

Will you still be looking for all 3 ASx- ASM, AS1M & ASW?
I'm just going for ASW. Can try slowly. No need active hunting.

It'll be easier if you don't mind any of the 3 ASx.

Occasionally I'll try for ASW. If not available, I will grab some at ex dividend date to complete my personal target for ASW.
By then, no more hunting forever.

From my 1 month experience, Friday is the most challenging day to get any unit but not impossible. Keep trying next week.

It depends on their luck & how much effort they put in trying to get Asx.
E.g- the young auntie I've met yesterday. She lived and worked in separate towns and passed by 1 day at the nearby bank my place and tried her luck. Since then she always re routed to come and try her luck, even though it's out of her way home. She is a young working mom with kids but adjusted her time for ASX.
or
the elderly mother coming in as a 'wakil' and sat down in bank for few hrs to try for her daughter.

Many non Bumi sold off AS1M & ASW recently as stated in my pbook.


Depend on where you're located. Everyone has their best/ worst bank. Once you identified the best, stick to it.
