Yeah even before ASNB do restriction, staff do restriction already but themself no limit. That's why I suggest ASNB limit transaction per account per day or per month.
*
limit per day I can agree. but not per month. everyday I don't go hunting 2-3 times biggrin.gif

auntie twinkle might not agree with me on per day limit smile.gif

ASNB office will give free gift if managed to top up RM50K in one shot  rclxms.gif
depends on gifts/stocks available  vmad.gif

Few months ago, after successful top up
( supposely rewarded with MP3 and Powerbank but habis stocks,  doh.gif
so given a thermos and a shopping bag instead  blink.gif
Ok loh,  thank you boss

Pls spare a few mins to digest my story below :

for infor,
not all bank tellers are registered with ASx ID ,
at most only 2 & 1 as relief during lunchtime.
and yes, they can do tranx for all their friends, relatives and VIP clients,
provided fund must be available on demand,  after successfully top up.
don't put them in a bad situation,
you will be " blacklist or marked as bad clients "

and the reason these tellers need to close their tranx
before 4pm, they must balance their cash on hand includes
other cash CASAFDHL / non-cash banking tranx,
then tellers need to raise internal vouchers to contra- offset cr/dr figures
with thier HQ b4 5pm,
then generate every tranx between the host & the respective main servers
within the time frame given.

should there be any unwanted incidents:
cash not balance lah
vouchers figure not tally
worst still wrong transacted code
then tellers need autorization to reverse the tranx
followed by calling customers to explain etc etc.....

with daily happening above, tellers will be praying hard,
not to be caught offguard with " Offline tranx "
meaning tranx shown in vouchers are ok-correct but not " pick up "
by the other end,
That part will be real headache for them cry.gif
Also, some mentioned
why some vouchers/ pay in slips/ passbooks are
being verified by them,
tellers are checking the tranx online code, amount & passbooks' holder name
to avoid mistakes,  afterall tellers are human too

and the story goes on and on

Chezzz. Solly over long winded here
Thanks for your time

correct me, if im wrong above  icon_rolleyes.gif
*
very good info. didn't know some of the things done by those tellers blush.gif

Update on my 'missing' dividends 1999- 2004 for ASW.

ASNB replied and stated the cheques were cleared. The letter is very detail on date of cheque issued and date of clearance at the bank.
So, it's must be auntie twinkle 'memory loss'.  blush.gif
Anyway, it's good to clear this issues.  thumbsup.gif  thumbsup.gif to ASNB for answering my 'embarrasing' enquiry. blush.gif

I'm impress they have keep all records tip top eventho years ago thumbsup.gif

Mid day report:-

I went to ASNB, Shah Alam with my niece in the am as I wanted to try open ASM & ASW2020 for her. Luckily place is quite empty. Beautiful & spacious new branch.

For my niece-

1st try- Only minimal unit  <100 in the system. Those who need to open account, must be patience and wait till at least 100 unit available in the system.
2nd try- Managed to open ASM & bought her some extra units.
          - ASW still insufficient unit.
3rd try- Finally able to open ASW2020 with only 100u. I'm happy as long as I can get 'THE PASSBOOK' first.

For myself-
1st try- ZERO unit.
2nd try- A bit of ASM & ASW.
3rd try- A bit of ASM & ASW.

Back to my little township-
A bit more of ASM & ASW.

All together a bit here and there, baby size but better than nothing. biggrin.gif
*
as long u can get some units is already good enough.

anyhow I happy for your niece. so kind of u to help out thumbsup.gif

nod.gif  nod.gif once one understand the reason behind why not possible to open any account, just need to wait and re Q for it to try your luck. All the Cik Adik there will try their best for you. After each transaction, I'll ask them if it's ok I sit and re Q again. Everyone said, no worry and please retry as many time as I want. Luckily, not many people there. We're the only Chinese investors there.
Unfortunately I have to leave earlier as I have other commitment or I'd have sit there and retry every 15mins until all my cash are gone. hmm.gif
*
one think I observed at ASNB office. they tend to be more friendly towards non-bumi if u talk to them well & humble.

sometimes don't needed to take Q number, they can try for u thumbsup.gif

once I saw. one auntie sit down & waiting. the staff will try. if no units. they kept the passbook aside. do others customers transaction. later try back again. then the staff called her name. she went to counter. gave one big bundle of cash flex.gif
I donno how long she waiting there. must be whole day I guess thumbsup.gif

I reported her to CIMB customer service.
When I approached her (bank's manager was at the counter) for number and extra deposit forms, she said I can only try one time and no multiple tries. (That's what I had been doing. If the teller said , no units, occasionally, I'll leave and come back during the pm. I've  never asked the teller to keep trying on the spot,  If they 'hit' on successful transaction, the teller usually offered to try again. The ASNB, MBB, Affin staff also will offer to try again if 1st transaction successful.) My regular transaction is with Affin.
I can accept this logic as there are other customers waiting for their turn but when she brought up my multiple transactions caused bank's imbalance. I was like  confused.gif
I was too shock to question her on the spot & I don't like confrontation. Hopefully Customer service will handle this issue.
*
better report to ASNB HQ too.

sometimes banks customer service might "cover up" your case. I don't really trust them will take stern action.

Just a gentle reminder to all

below happened in Kota Kinabalu --
http://dailyexpress.com.my/news.cfm?NewsID=110066
Published on: Wednesday, May 25, 2016

Kota Kinabalu:

A 60-year-old woman who just retired from the civil service will not be able to enjoy her hard-earned pension money of RM100,000 – she was robbed in broad daylight by two men at the traffic lights opposite Wawasan Plaza, here, Tuesday.
The victim withdrew all the cash from a bank at Api-Api Centre at about 9.20am and intended to invest all in the Amanah Saham Bumiputra (ASB) when the robbers struck 30 minutes later.
Speaking to Daily Express here on the same day, the victim said all the money was kept in a big envelope placed inside her handbag which she put on the car floor.
Upon reaching the traffic lights on the second lane from the right, she was shocked when a man smashed her left car window with a sharp object before grabbing her handbag.
She tried to stop the robber until some cash fell on the road but failed. She sustained wounds on her thumbs and index finger in the process.
The robber and his accomplice fled with the envelope containing her money on a motorcycle.
She also hit the rear of a Honda car in front of her Perodua Kembara in the incident.
To her disappointment, other motorists who witnessed the incident did not even bother to help her.

My own personal experience...

When I was younger, about 15-20 years ago (I think), once I withdrew 20k through banker's cheque. The teller recommended to withdraw cash but I declined. Somehow she seemed very insistent on it, but I stood my ground. Lastly, I got my banker's cheque.

This experience seemed weird to me, and has caused me a few sleepless nights thinking the actual motive of the teller. You'd get the idea....
*
woah seriously.

others banks tellers would strongly recommend bankers' cheque if "big" amount. they won't tell to take cash when u want to take bankers cheque. they happy to do for u..

Pm report-

Managed to get from ASNB- am, Bank- pm. He/ She will asked me what's my limit for the day.
thumbsup.gif Staff automatically retried once transaction successful. If not, she/ he said I could retry again later with no problems.
ASW- 3 transactions- 4 digits + 4 digits + 4 digits= 4 digits

ASM- 5 transactions-  5 digits + 5 digits +4 digits + 5digits + 4digits= 5 digits.

My ASM will be hitting my personal target by tomorrow/ Monday. Just need a bit more & I'll stop 'requesting' for it. Can't believe that in less than a month, I've managed to complete AS1M & soon ASM.

hmm.gif  ASW will take a longer time...
*
auntie hunting adventure shows 1 thing.

if we are really hardworking & allocate some of time. we can reach the target amount we want in short period of time.

no use ranting day & night if we don't make the right move, and do some strategic decision / time management icon_rolleyes.gif

How many people got time to try multiple times per day at the bank? Even me, just go 3x (don't want to waste petrol)
*
yes not everyone have the luxury to go multiple time daily. time management & right strategy is very important.

auntie managed to get within 1 months. others might be 2months if one go daily basis but try once only biggrin.gif

Yes, that is right. Dark blue font. Old one is light blue.
Yours in separate sheets taken from the bank?
I saw it's all glued together like a receipt book. They tear off 1 piece for you when requested. No more putting whole stack on the table.

This version is better than old one. Font bigger easier to see. Darker colour too. Paper is thicker. Also write phone number in case something went wrong they can call you.
*
well actually I took one whole stack from ASNB previously when no people looking devil.gif now don't needed to begged anyone for extra forms biggrin.gif I guess can last until next year brows.gif

since now all using same number. much more easy for me. don't write date, amount & fund name. 1 form can rotate 3 fund biggrin.gif thumbsup.gif

Fuhhhh, 1 whole stack??? You have a strong affection to purchase your units at ASNB ka? biggrin.gif

I am aware that we are required to fill out the form if we intend to hunt down some units at ASNB. However, if the transaction is done through an agent, we just need to provide the necessary information & the teller will complete the form for us. So, no need pikir mau bring apa form or beg, bukan ka?.
*
hahah better to be safe than sorry.

the normal branch I go. the 1st transaction use my form. 2nd onwards use theirs kept at the counter. print 1st, later fill up with the details sweat.gif
