Sociall media is yr best medium to promote yrself. Kinda no brainer. Do some cover song, upload to youtube. Share in fb. Then post it here too. /k are very good in trollinb and very unforgiving too, which can be a very good critic. Im serious, if /k didnt aporove, you should sharpen your skill, else stop wasting yr time. Friends evaluation are useless.

you need to be smart about this. You need to make use of media like facebook and instagram marketing to promote yourself. Get likes and so on. It is how all the unknown youtubers start. And as long as your contents are good you will sure become more famous. Nobody go the old school way anymore. That is so yesterday method. Perhaps you need a talent agency to help you. Most agency will not mind helping if you are good. They will take a portion of your income once you become famous.

Or perhaps join REDPEOPLE. They will help promote you. How old are you anyway? You should know all these already since you are the internet generation people. Singing in public is nothing compared to the exposure you can get from youtube.
