Hi /K daddys. My daughter baru born last week. So I guess now I also in this club now.
When your baby baru born, you all fully feed breastmilk or mix with formula?
My wife now bmilk not that much so now topup with formula. This is stressing my wife out as she wants to fully bfeed the baby.
I told her it's normal but she still stressed.

Hi there new dad!

me baby was mix feeding in the first week, same reason because wife is stress and have hormonal imbalance after giving birth (you gotta bear with it).

What i did to help my wife increase her breast milk production:

1. Buy Fenugreek supplement
2. Balance diet of spinach and red meat
3. Have her to drink at least 2 liter of water
4. Soy milk are helpful as well.

It was chaotic first week, things felt surreal for me ah joy of firstborn biggrin.gif

congrats bro. is it birth through C-sec? they say c-sec mums take longer and dont produce that much milk. same with my wife. so we supplement with teh halba. but also still had to mix formula and breast milk. man time flies. i remember my little one driving me crazy at night. women will always stress. so you need to do as much as you can to help her out. most of all. let her sleep! force her to sleep if you have to! women become crazy when no sleep. psycho! CRAZYYYYYYYY!!!

Thanks for the reassurance. Yaya, my wife c-sec mummy. Hopefully the milk production will increase soon. Now, she pumping out around 40ml each time. (after 1 week)
The sad thing is during our hospital stay, the nursery nurses keep forcing my wife to bfeed the baby even when not enough milk. My baby cry like mad due to hungry all the time and wife not enough milk. That's why it made my wife even more stressed when listening to the baby screaming. I think back pun sakit hati lagi. That time nobody told us is not enough milk, and this is my first child so not experienced.

Was in the OT with wife during her C-Sec. All can see if the Anesthologist pushing the baby out from the front and seeing my baby's leg and body pop out from the hole they cut in my wife.
I was like dafuk is this technique.
