Not considering much traveling with my boys until both are manageable - I will vomit blood if I tell them no and they assumed that I am just playing with them...

how do you define manageable? at what age? tongue.gif

Eldest at 22 months now, every time I told him not to repeat something wrong sternly, he will say "OK" and then repeats it again... I am assuming that this will continue until he is around 3+ year old and since youngest is only 5+ months, I am guessing temporary ban on foreign travels for next 2-3 years time minimally.

mine is selective... if you are playing with him then he's ok... but when he's seeking attention and you don't bother him, he'll do all the things you tell him not too like play curtain, touch the dusty grills, play with the praying stuff bangwall.gif
*
Hahaha, mine has this habit of playing very roughly with his toys and should I ignore him, he would use them and hit me with it. I am officially terrified to ignore him now when he was last seen with such toys.

Note: Unable to punish/whack him yet and his loving grandma don't believe in hitting the kids.

grandparents memang potek grandchildren one... habis spoil one laugh.gif

I am waiting till he is 2+ before I will start with physical punishments. Now a bit susah cause he can't even understand why I hit him in the first place.

i whack my boy on his hand or butt. his mom never whack. so he listens to me more. but he loves her more hahahah. sacrifice. T_T

I also think so, would rather punish him now than to see him growing up to be a spoiled brat. Mine loves the grandma the most, every time I force him to sit with me until grandma is free, he would cry and ask for grandma lol.

this...

but memang need to be strict... my cousin's son, already 2 years old, fuuuuu... go shopping mall, if he wants something he'll cry doh.gif
will beat my cousin also one... tabouli la...

I plan to force him to sit with me in the emergency stair case area until he chill/calm down else we gonna spend time at the staircase till we go home. This is provided that grandma (to note, she's my mom-in-law) is not around lol, when she's around, she tends to disagree with how I plan to deal with my kids.

Just in case those who are wondering if they should whack their kids, this is a research specifically for it:

Spanking and Child Development: We Know Enough Now To Stop Hitting Our Children

Personal preference, I will continue to whack my boys (when necessary) regardless whatever said.

lol, i will start my rant then.

I'm a father of a soon to be 1 year old beautiful girl. whom in his daily life filled with constant diplomatic red tapes between in-laws, parents and wife on the best way to take care of a baby.

so many rules to follow from different parties -___-
*
If they are the ones who gonna help jaga the baby most of the time, it is really not easy to argue much - after all, they will be the one to jaga most of the time =(

I have similar issues on my end and most of the time, I just diam. Haih.
