wahhhh.. long time never surf /k and now I came across this daddy thread. i can see most of u guys are daddy with baby boy.

i am a daddy with daughter who just turned one 1 recently. just had her birthday party over the weekend. fun but tiring since my girl has "gotten" her legs now. everywhere also want to walk. dont want to crawl. fell down also, stand up again and walk. its cute tho seeing them like that. we called that "Lesen L". LOL

for daddy who is facing rashes problem with the baby, try Vaselin. that is what our confinement lady has thought us. no need to spend expensive amount on cream. try vaselin it will works just fine. during my baby 2-3 month old, her rashes quite bad at butt. like ulser pun ada jugak. kesian tengok. had tried drapolene and another white cream, not effective. use vaselin, within a week healed already.

any of u guys baby is fully breastfeeding still? with working mum? then u will know the suffer of washing / cooling / freezing / warming / defrosting breast milk + pump + storage bottles. hehe

I'm surprised. I recommend many people and they said work like charm. Did you apply enough? Some don't like it because it's steroid base.
*
more than enough. i sapu at her bum until the whole area white in color. but when my MIL saw, she said i am nuts. LOL!

but vaselin, no problemo!

my daughter doesn't like to watch cartoons. when i showed her winnie the pooh - she just watched it for 1 min then she leave my side n plays with her toys. leaving me watching the whole show, alone. LOL!

but not until last week baby fair, i found out that she is into those mascot things. she laughed happily when she saw that thing and pointing to it and said "NAK! NAK!" (that's the only clear word she can say right now whenever she wants anything) so, last night i showed her - Barney and Friends. to my surprise, she likes it very much. she all smile and laughter during the whole show! **SCORE!

today i will show her Teletubbies plox. see how

for some reason they dont really like animated things. at least for my son also. but he loves shows like wiggles or Hi5, with real people. the only animation he likes is Lion King. other cartons he dont give a fak. but lion king he really can sit through. dunno why...
*
that's the thing. my MIL said, she like watching old people movies. LOL! gonna sesame street too later and see how

mine giler mickey mouse... especially that hotdog song

then hi5 and furchester hotel laugh.gif

i got to try to limit his TV time at the nanny's, i think its affecting his speech... cos i read too much tv will delay/postpone the speaking stage doh.gif
*
mine is babysit by MIL. so we asked the people there to not let her watch tv, at least for now. let her play with toys and talk to her often until she has development her speech skills then only let her watch tv etc. at least we can understand by then. hehe

there's another baby as well that my MIL sits for. so she has friend to play with for the time being

my wife bought him a box of puzzle, very simple 2-4 piece puzzles...
the box has this string attached to it making it look like a handbag laugh.gif
he poured out everything, held the box by the string and wave here wave there
looks back at me then says "bye" and walks towards the door, i was like dafuq rclxms.gif rclxms.gif  laugh.gif

my daughter has this tendency of playing with plastic / paper bags.

she will keep everything inside the paper bag - lego la, doll la n everything inside. then she will hold that walk as if she just got back from shopping. then she will arrange everything at 1 corner (her fav spot to play at) and repeat until i keep everything back

if not her toys, she will arrange all the dirty laundry there. LOL!

mind you my daughter is just 1 year old. i also pening sometimes rclxub.gif

moving stuff like that is very good leh, i heard my colleague said his nephew only started doing that when he was 2+

mine so far still ok, problem is he takes stuff and puts at random places... like container caps, he'll drop it into drawers or put it into cabinets... but the surprising thing is when i am looking for the cover, and ask him where is it... he'll pause awhile then starts looking for it at those places he have been to laugh.gif

mine 1.5yo... these few days a bit weird, started throwing stuff again... he used to do that when he was younger... but stopped for a few months already... now back again... give apple buang, give keys buang, give bread buang, don't like buang, kiss his mickey mouse then buang... apa nih sweat.gif
*
different baby have different capabilities. mine can already walk and run now eventho she tend to fall coz no proper balance.

but now she has this tantrum when she is upset. whenever i took things that she is playing with (well my wife's is an OCD, playing with the house/car keys is a big NO NO) my baby will get upset and start to slam her body or if she near to people, she will throw her body to that person and bite them! LOL! just to show the sign that she is angry. its been a few times now. i dont know where did she learned to bite people.

my boy has gone through the biting stage... similar to yours, mine used to bite people when he's mad but he also bites when he's overexcited or very happy  rclxub.gif
we thought maybe cos he's teething, my shoulder and my wife's still have his bite scars doh.gif
but it will be over in a few months, just need to keep telling them biting hurts, please bite your teething toys, not people laugh.gif

yeah, agree on the capability part... mine still cannot talk, just mumbling and some random words
*
mine i have 1 scar from her scratch. exactly on my chest. it took me 1 whole week to recover from that. as if i got scratch by a cat

i was so pissed off that time, luckily wifu is there if not my baby will surely get slap from me. LOL

luckily i cool down very fast. but the scar not so..

cut. she seem manage to scratched me as if i did not cut her nails.

there this 1 quote i came across online - "forget pokemon go if u wanna chase wild little creatures day and night. try parenting" LULZ

i think this suits well for parents.

in my house, im the one who always scold her and the mum always console her. if the mum scold, she wont give a damn coz she knew mummy has a soft spot. her dad on the other hand, i just raised my voice, "heyyyyy!" she will stop what is she doing and look at me with innocent face.

no choice bro... lifts being hogged by healthy walking idiots bangwall.gif
*
sometimes this idiots will say - u tak suka u keluar. its their right to use the lifts ranting.gif

even so some of them were behind us, but when the lift comes, they cut que and jump in. simply idiot kampung mana keluar tak tau. melayu ka cina ka india, kalau idiot, semua sama.

my waifu can speak mandarin but being her image with tudung, they dont know. so this group of family cut que in front of us and buat tak tau masuk the lift padahal we were there for quite sometimes. but i respect the kids when she said in mandarin n i translate - "i think we should the escalator pa. we can walk. let this family with baby take the liftt." and the dad said, "ala never mind la. can fit one" than my wife look and said, "thank you for your consideration" they all were like, "errrrr........."

on a side note, i will send my daughter to chinese school like the mum and her siblings. 1 extra language to be include in the cv thumbup.gif

yeah i think kids memang more considerate. last time on the plane i was holding my baby, wet wipes and his extra diaper and had his shit smelling up the cabin. they all look at me, but no one gib me their spot. so i wait lah. like 15 mins for eveyrone to go while they bask in my sons smell haha. only one young boy told me to go first. so good. really appreciated. the smell actually for me not that bad. dah biasa. when smell so bad, just make me laugh like 'DAMN! SON!' hahah.

its good to know many languages. make it hard for people to bisik bisik.

i always use escalator when going 1 floor or maybe 2. if more than that i will take the lift. but when doors opens and like 20 people standing inside i give them all the evil eye hahah. but if lift kosong and people rush i also rush and if stroller roll over their feet just say oops sorry. they wanna rage also i think malu after that. wanna rage also im a big guy. i lived in beijing for 4 years. wanna tolak me, even locals over there kalah. for sure malaysian cannot win against me hahahah.
*
sometimes for parents the smell of their baby poop is normal. coz we are used to it. to those who are not parents, they will be like, WTF is this smell mang?!! HAHAHAHAH

but for mine, normal day poo will smell like normal baby poo. susu je pun with some porridge and vege. but at times i dont know what happened, my baby poop smell will be like, "how the hell this body so small can shit like this and the smell, PERGHHHH!!!" sometimes after changing, i will leave the diaper in the bathroom before i throw it. when the waifu goes in, she will be like, "PERGGGHHHHHHHHHH!!!!" then both of us will laugh. the amount of smell is depending on the length of PERGHH. HAHAHAHAHAH!

hahahah. this is a families love. hahahh. the smell is like damn! and then LOL!

the only time i almost throw up is when in hospital i had to dig into his poop to get a stool sample hahaha. really gaggin in the toilet. so gross
*
i've been shitted, peed, puked, saliva-ed anything that people considered as gross. HAHAHAHA! even the waifu cannot have same ketahanan like mine. i also didnt know from where i got the ability. but i managed to survive. even my MIL also surprised with my diaper changing skills coz normally the husband dont care much.

but when feeding my baby, i'll surrender. i snap very easily. so normally the wife will feed the baby. only at times when my baby prefer me to feed her, then only i'll do it. if not, i wont. LEL

need to be careful though and make sure its safe for kids under 2. recently my son had cough, it was 5ml but the box said not for children under 2. but never tried it for a flight. when my son had a cough, and eat medicine... like biasa only... maybe high tolerance. or just too much damn energy...

my son use pants during the day. maybe 5. and then 1 extra dry for sleeping... all mamy poko  sweat.gif

sometimes i rushing to give him shower, then rip off the pants diaper. then realise he didnt even pee in it. i  cry.gif
*
this one, my wife also does it. she just ripped the drypants without checking and when i come and checked, the baby has not pee on it. i go and complaint to her of wasting bla bla next time time check first bla bla. she will just like okay. cannot do anything la. she's a bigger boss than me. HAHAHAHAH

QUOTE(panda-man @ Aug 23 2016, 05:17 PM)
my son boleh tahan. he wont pick up everything and put into his mouth, just occasionally. the problem is... at mirrors or reflective surfaces he likes to go and kiss his reflection. talk about self absorbed. but i guess bacteria is good for a little kid to grow some immunity. but still pretty gross.

as for stroller. when we initially get out of the car, we put him in stroller, he will be able to sit for maybe like 30 mins. and we go straight to makan normally, then switch him to baby chair. after makan then let him roam freely as much as we can. the problem is he likes to jog. so he goes very fast haha. so semi-crowded places i make him carry a backpack and i just hold onto the top handle part. if very crowded will normally put in stroller, but if semi-crowded and i need to do something which my focus isnt 100% and he refuse to go into stroller, then i will pull out the leash! hahaha. also on the backpack. at least he can sorta roam. feel bad. but its a useful safeguard hahah.
*
mine now what do malay called, "baru dapat kaki" so when we are out, she sees other kids running and walking, she starts to become restless. sibuk nak join sama. if i dont let her she will starts to scream her lungs out. so nak taknak, have to put her down. when i put her down, that's it. she will run everywhere and i will have follow closely behind. for safety. we are not like Japan whistling.gif

normally if go out to a mall, i will be wearing the carrier + stroller waifu will be pushing. most of the time the baby is inside the carrier coz do not prefer to be inside the stroller. if we are lucky, then she will stay inside. if not 10min pun susah. so the stroller most of the time is used to put our stuffs biggrin.gif

we bought 1 bag with harness but we never use it yet. but soon enough.

hahah. kan. yesterday pun i kena. shower my son, put on new diapers... then. i baru je pakai baju. like 5 mins and waifu said 'he pooped.' i really liek NOOOOO!!!! wasted my mamy poko!!!

for kids, they love to see other 'small people' like them. but when they baru dapat kaki its so scary. always maciam like nak jatuh. hahah. but i let my son jatuh during that time. just give him thick pants heh... last time i feel like a boss. my son run chasing another kid in the playground and he fell down. all the parents like shocked and staring at me and waifu. we just stand there. like whatever mang. hahahah. then my son get up continue chasing other kids with a big laugh.

we bought a carrier last time like RM80-90. but in the end never used it! because my son sweats a lot... like me.. so put him in there he surely will sweat and then get angry. so now we using the lightweight stroller. the yoyo type. very good. if you all got small car. i cannot praise this small stroller enough! i always wanted maclaren but too expensive. i bought off of taobao hahah. everything from taobao. some knockoff one but served us well already for like 1.5 years. https://s.taobao.com/search?q=%E5%A9%B4%E5%...&sort=sale-desc but very very good. love it. and fits nicely in my myvi.
*
that was before. now she sudah dapat lesen P is even worst. lari sana, lari sini. but then myself tak jugak kurus. LEL

she is just 1 year old. but the amount of energy, i dont know from where she got it. she just need to nap for like 10mins then the battery goes out for hours bangwall.gif

bought 1 cheap carrier but me myself are not comfortable wearing it and from what i read it is not ergonomic and good for the baby either. so went and buy better quality ones. at least it will last longer. im using Nuna for stroller and i couldnt agree more on this. it is big and used so much space in the backseat. im using swift btw. so now waifu keep on complaining to buy this new stroller called Pockit around RM700. but it will saves up space in the car tho. but our Nuna is best - handling etc but in terms of size, aiyohhh.. pening

hahah. wait till P lesen gone. then you will be really going crazy.

checked out the pockit. seems similar to the yoyo one. which is great. its good when travelling as you can just fold it up and goes into a carry bag which can sling over the shoulder. its good because we travel every year. used to use a Quinny which is MASSIVE. i think was like a RM2-3k stoller (kawan kasi - i iz poorfag). tayar dah lah like 10" hahaha. but yeah manueverabilty is damn good. it was the 3 wheel. but once it masuk boot. thats it.  nothing else. i cannot even have the boot cover thing on. semua kena dismantle. and damn heavy... really takes effort to get it in and out of the car... if i have alphard ok lah. hahahah.
*
patiently waiting for that. LOL!

yeah. Quinny is good. been wanting to buy but no money so opt for Nuna only. now we wanna buy a smaller stroller coz we are planning to travel this end of year. so carrying a small stroller like Pockit / Yoyo is really really helpful

How to convince wife we should switch the milk from breasfeed to formula? My baby is 7 months. I can't stand listening to my wife nag in the middle of the night because the baby xnak sleep la, susu dah kering la, puting sakit la.

If like this i rather ownself feed the baby formula rather than listening my wife mumbling. Very irritating. My wife doesn't have big patiences like me.

I cant wait to feed formula to my baby. Let me awake all night i dont mind.

my daughter is 1year and 2 months now. she still on BF and never campur. tgh malam pun the wife bangun and feed my daughter. kalau tak direct, she will pump. even during working hours. hats off to her. if its me, dah lama stop whistling.gif

planning to BF our baby for solid 2 years or more kalau ada rezeki

supply and demand take affect here. no such thing breast milk tak cukup if u ask me. my wife her milk will drop when she is near to her period. at this 1 time when she pumped got 1oz only. so she rage. everything that can stimulate breast milk, she'll eat. even lactation cookies pun buat sendiri. even our dinner also full of milk enhancing food. broccoli la, radish la, dates la, fish la. sampai i also nak muntah. but as long as that makes her happy, im happy. just follow her la.

THIS! imma at this stage now. very pening kepala. now she is scared of me. hehe. when she is doing something naughty, my wife will say, "daddyyyy.....!!" she will immediately stop and look around to see im around to scold her or if not she will make those innocent face and hoping for me to forgive her. sometimes i did scold her and slapped her hand few times. feel guilty after that cry.gif

my waifu sometimes get mad at me for doing that. but this is the way my parents raised me up. so im used to it. not to the extend abusing the child, just a reminder for them - "oh if i do this, daddy will get angry and beat me. better not" plus if she listens to me, i will reward her with a hug and kiss and a clap, "yeayy! good girl" that's what i normally do. plus we always plays good parents bad parents. normally i will be the bad parent of course whistling.gif
