gate will be most effective since some times even if you can hear the call, might not make it up on time sweat.gif

the one i bought was slightly over 300... its hard to open cos you need to press both sides to raise the lever
*
or if wanna do cheaper, just put the chain lock on the outside of the door hahaha. then can leave the door open but bebeh cant squeeze through. at least he can jerit there.

My kid is 2 yrs old.. it still works.

Cause its not easy to open, get those you have to push back on a level/button then lift the gate up...

Actually I bought 2, one for the bottom of the stairs and 1 for the top ... didnt use the top part cause someone is with her 24/7 when upstairs
*
yeah, i think if the kid is not rough its ok. or maybe just the companies do it as a disclaimer.

my boy doesn't have much problem on pee during daytime, only the night time which just started to train him. i think no problem to pee outside during shopping or inside car, because boy very easy i guess, roadside also can pee... hahahaha
another problem now is we try to train him to poo at toilet bowl, of cause with the extra equipment for the kids to attach at our toilet bowl. Till now he still dare not to use it, but he can poo at nursery without problem using the same equipment. I talk to the teacher, and later on the teacher told me that she once have a conversation with my boy, and found out the reason he refuse to poo at toilet bowl at home is because he scare falling into it..... we are totally speechless...... as he never fell before doh.gif  doh.gif
*
hahaha. so cute. did you show him those pictures of kids stuck in the toilet bowl? heheh.

Yeah... I'm gonna go offtopic abit...
You guys know how you always read of robbers gaining access to the house at night (you CANNOT stop a robber form coming in... roof, windows, etc too many options) and immediately they will go directly to the rooms... KICK open the door and before you know what happened you have a parang on your neck already....

I dont mind getting robbed... material possessions can be replaced... but I worry about my family being hurt in the process...

Hence... I convert all my rooms into like semi safe rooms. I installed solid doors with good quality 5 point locks, ofcourse reinforced metal frames as well. Once locked, its not easy for them to KICK open the door... sure if they keep whacking it.... in 15 or 20 minutes they might get thru... but by then it will buy me enough time to call the cops (1.3km away) , Guard house (150m) away, or even climb out the window.

Also note, I was told by the cops that these thieves will also resort to using your LPG cannister as a battering ram to break down the doors, so I suggest you install a floor plug and chain/lock your cannister down.
Yes... I might sound kiasi... I dont care about all these things until I got a kid... I wont take chances with her life.
*
good tip. for me, my current condo only got 1 main door and all windows and the door got grill. door is also a reinforced full timber fire door (not sure about the frame though, but i think its steel.

my other condo, door can tendang open easily... but its rental prop. so tak kisah. once i move there, different story lah.

for landed, i dont have any properties... thats the scariest to own. we all tak berani. throughout my life lived through like 6-8 robberies (TTDI & Ampang), so avoiding landed at all costs, unless i can afford to live in a proper gated community.

Hi /K daddys. My daughter baru born last week. So I guess now I also in this club now.
When your baby baru born, you all fully feed breastmilk or mix with formula?
My wife now bmilk not that much so now topup with formula. This is stressing my wife out as she wants to fully bfeed the baby.
I told her it's normal but she still stressed.
*
congrats bro. is it birth through C-sec? they say c-sec mums take longer and dont produce that much milk. same with my wife. so we supplement with teh halba. but also still had to mix formula and breast milk. man time flies. i remember my little one driving me crazy at night. women will always stress. so you need to do as much as you can to help her out. most of all. let her sleep! force her to sleep if you have to! women become crazy when no sleep. psycho! CRAZYYYYYYYY!!!

Thanks for the reassurance. Yaya, my wife c-sec mummy. Hopefully the milk production will increase soon. Now, she pumping out around 40ml each time. (after 1 week)
The sad thing is during our hospital stay, the nursery nurses keep forcing my wife to bfeed the baby even when not enough milk. My baby cry like mad due to hungry all the time and wife not enough milk. That's why it made my wife even more stressed when listening to the baby screaming. I think back pun sakit hati lagi. That time nobody told us is not enough milk, and this is my first child so not experienced.
*
yeah. the hospitals are all pro breastfeeding because its gov initiative. so my baby cried all the time for 2 days we were admitted. wife cry, baby cry. etc.... we only realised no milk when my wife tried pumping and like your wife only 20-40ml came out. walao.. then my wife cried for the longest time. they should provide more info to c-sec mums and dads. but i guess for them its like. i tell you or dont tell you, you should be breast feeding. if baby feed then milk will come. PUI!!!!! my wife 2 weeks breastfeeding still 20-40ml. if i didnt use formula... my baby will probably be back in hospital. but after halba and massage and etc etc. can get around 140-180 each time in total. still isnt much. kesian bebeh.

8 months of crying at night?

QUOTE(feekle @ May 16 2016, 04:34 PM)
hopefully..if not 1-2 years  cry.gif
*
hahah. hopefully it wont last too long lah. my son at 1 year already roughly can sleep through the night without milk. just needed to change to night diapers so also didnt need to wake up for that.

nowadays (21 months) though, he will sometimes wake up crying dunno why. maybe nightmare or something. then need to move him to our bed.

my advise... if you can get a king-superking size bed. once the kid is older they will helicopter you. better to get more space if possible.

but my waifu balik kampung and tbh i miss hearing my babies cry. even that sometimes i feel so cute. hahah

of course its always good to BM but there is one disadvantage about BM. your baby will tend to have longer jaundice. but if you feed your baby with formula, the jaundice will go away.
*
my boy had minor jaundice. just campak into the morning sun. whistling.gif

actually we could've ended it really quickly but my wife very stubborn after attending a class on breast feeding and that speaker is a real nazi... i was there too and i have to say the speaker successfully brainwashed my wife. so end up my wife die die dont want to give formula although doctor ask to but in the end, we pulled through... its tough... one hand i can't do anything for my baby and on the other hand my wife pulak like that... fuuu...
*
Yeah wife easy to brainwash.... just say one thing bad/good for baby they will follow like sheep! For me I will do all the research from all over the place first. At least got some wider knowledge before making firm stand on something.

I feel the same before i had mine. Your time will come, so move along to your more interesting topic.

My wife said to me, nothing is manlier than seeing a man carrying own son/daughter.

yup. when a man knows how to handle his business yo. flex.gif
