I dont do it.... well i try...

We use the good ol TIme Out method.. find an empty corner... box her in and face the corner.. just make it TWO minutes.. apparently kids cannot tahan one.. hahahahah
*
Depends on the kid. My one niece will cry and scream and hates time out. The other will just be like OK. And sits there for 5 min just looking around hahaha. Suffice to say. One gets whacked one gets time out haha

*
my son obsessed with animals. so no matter how much he cries, just use talipon, open youtube. find animals, show him. hahaha. sure stop crying. hahah.

My daughter too. My wife taught her the names of the animals and how they sound like.
Tat day my buddy and I brought our daughters to watch Jungle book. We chose afternoon timing so tat it wont be so crowded. When the animals appeared, my daughter start to point at the animals while naming it and making the sound. I kept telling her to lower down her voice as i notice the person beside cannot take it anymore, lol.. After the movie, we glad the movie was over. Not easy bringing a 2 year old toddler to the theatre and expect them to sit down quietly.
*
hahah. you should go for the kids friendly TGV one maybe? i still havent been but planning to go for Dory i guess.

but my neice also love to talk. already like 6yo i think. talk the whollleeee time in captain america, keep asking her to be quiet. but blah blah blah. at the end of the movie 'i cant talk more now right?' doh.gif doh.gif hai......

my advise is try to train him as earliest as possible if he's ok.... i will definately do it to my 2nd baby if he's ok.
errr..... i am able to train my boy not to drink milk every 2 hours at night after 6 months. he drinks b4 sleep, and cried at 6am for milk which is ok for me since i am getting ready to wake up for work at tht time.
not to mention, the 1st 6 months is totally a nightmare for everyone.... hahaha
i am the one taking care my boy everyday since my wife working outstation, only come back during weekends.
*
yeah. man. that first night when you sleep without the baby waking up for milk is the bessssst. sometimes i wake up at 3-4am just wondering like is he ok? didnt cry or anything..... but in the end... golek into the corner.... wadefak.

amazing how the sleep... mine also like that, they can sleep until their head is at the other end of the cot laugh.gif
*
yeah. sometimes i wake up so terkejut throw all the blankets looking for the baby.... then realised i already moved him to his cot. hai..... traumatising.

yeah sometimes head shoved into the corner till he cries... the worst though is sometimes he sleeps with us. lift his leg and axekick my forehead. bangwall.gif

hahaa... i think same to everyone. for my case, my son will end up on my bed in the next morning, either on the place i sleep, (i kena force to move to my wife place when she is not around), or he crawl over me and sleep on my wife place. during the weekends, he's either end up in between us, or sticking at her mom side  sweat.gif  sweat.gif
*
yeah quite annoyign when they do the helicopter pusing pusing next to you. normally ill just sleep without blanket as worried he will get stuck underneath. im sure you also kena he try to sleep on you suddenly hahah.

last night was scary, we usually move him onto our bed if he wakes up in the middle of the night...
yesterday he was early, we were half way eating... then i heard some noise upstairs so i rushed up
dem, he was at the edge of the stairs wanting to go down!

lucky i was fast, else he'll be rolling down the stairs mega_shok.gif

we don't close the door cos scare we cannot hear him crying when we are cooking in the kitchen... but i think no choice after yesterday's incident... have to close it tight...
*
wah dangerous. there was one app. i forgot the name. it uses your phones mic, and if got noise it will make a call. so if you got an extra phone can use it. if not you gonna need a baby monitor if you gona close the door heh. or get a baby gate for the door or stairs.

day time we some times can turn on skpye video call on house wifi so can see if he's awake or not... night so dark cannot work...

i'll look for that app you mentioned

we have a baby gate at the kitchen door... maybe need to get another one for upstairs maybe... blardy expensive sweat.gif
*
yeah. i used to use the app as i had two phones. can set sensitivity to sound etc. babycall or some other type of name like that. those gates i think are like 200+ right? heh. but apparently lose effectiveness once kid is 2 years old.
