My kids doesn't keep all their toys in their toys basket. There's some in my car too so I brought half of the toys to my office to give them to the cleaner's kid. This is not the first time I actually gave out their toys. They promised to clean up after themselves and if they don't they will lose their toys

What type of toys do u get for your 12 month old? Any suggestions?

I noticed they get bored fast with toys, and they actually prefer to play with whatever I'm using.

Haha.

they all like that. no matter what toys you wanna get... just get some safe toys for them as they will just put into their mouths. get some musical toys, normally they like that.

actually want to ask ah... our almost 2yo boy is not following instructions... we notice that he selects what he wants to follow... last time he used to be better, around 18-20months, we ask him to keep his toys, he'll pickup a few and put it back into his toy box

now he just totally ignores and continues with what he's doing sweat.gif

are we expecting too much from him? or are we not strict enough?

welcome to the terrible 2's.

my son like this... but now we've become more strict on him (especially me). like if he dont makan, will give him the death stare. and firmly tell him off... then he will say 'baba angry' and eat his food. now i just begin counting 1, 2, ... then he will stop whatever he was doing.

but sometimes doesnt work. and also need to remember, kids are kids. so dont always be strict. hehe.

wah that one a bit over lah hahahah. kids understand a lot. but maybe cannot connect naughty = no love. instead just think of it as 'no love'

my wife will just say something like 'if you dont eat, only mama and baba are going out to go play on the slide (or whatever your plans were or child likes to do)' seems thats working for now. haha. but of course make sure you follow through with the offer.

I tried something like that last night, he kept turning off the lights when i was making milk for him... after that he'll walk away, when i turn the lights back on, he'll run back laughing then turn off the lights again doh.gif
so i said "you off the lights again, daddy will go to sleep"... he came back turn off the lights, i said "ok, byeeee, daddy's going to bed" and walk away from the dressing table... he went "aaahhhhhhh" then turn on the lights and pulled me over to make his milk laugh.gif

some times ah... don't know should angry or laugh... but kids are kids just so darn cute thumbup.gif

My twin boys the younger one is more manja than the first one. Sometimes when we're watching TV he will lay his body on me while the older will be busy talking while pulling my hand.
I told my boys I have given their toys to the cleaner's kids and they doesn't seem to mind because I only take the small small and loud toys away from them. Good thing now they focus on their music class better biggrin.gif

my rant for last week...

my boy's last class for the year and we have Christmas gift party last weekend... gift was supposed to be unisex and cost around RM30, the teachers recommended the gift around a certain size...

what my kid got? a lego... not just any farking lego... a farking small piece lego for ages farking 7 to farking 14?!?!?! doh.gif doh.gif doh.gif doh.gif doh.gif

wadafuq are the parents thinking?!?!? memang no standard and no class at all leh... can pay for RM160 per class but cannot get a proper RM30 gift? and its only once a farking year? blardy obvious that lego was an unwanted gift cos the daughter is at most a year older than my boy! and my boy is not even 2 yet!!!

/rant
