this one u cannot do anything . just need to close monitor.
baby at that stage will put everything in their mouth. same goes to my baby
difficult to manage, but must try if not end up eating stuff not suppose to eat.

daddies, i hv a question:
do you normally let ur child in stroller or just let him walk on his own?
for me i preferred my son to roam around freely, he want to walk on his own.
seldom wifu n i bring him in stroller. is this normal?
Of cause safety is a factor, ppl can easily grab him, but normally i will be behind him, following everywhere he wants to go..
*
my son boleh tahan. he wont pick up everything and put into his mouth, just occasionally. the problem is... at mirrors or reflective surfaces he likes to go and kiss his reflection. talk about self absorbed. but i guess bacteria is good for a little kid to grow some immunity. but still pretty gross.

as for stroller. when we initially get out of the car, we put him in stroller, he will be able to sit for maybe like 30 mins. and we go straight to makan normally, then switch him to baby chair. after makan then let him roam freely as much as we can. the problem is he likes to jog. so he goes very fast haha. so semi-crowded places i make him carry a backpack and i just hold onto the top handle part. if very crowded will normally put in stroller, but if semi-crowded and i need to do something which my focus isnt 100% and he refuse to go into stroller, then i will pull out the leash! hahaha. also on the backpack. at least he can sorta roam. feel bad. but its a useful safeguard hahah.

i'm training my boy to sit on the stroller... at least for first half of the outing...

he doesn't like to walk and if he walks, he's like a homing missile targeting lifts bangwall.gif

might buy that safety harness just in case, not safe anymore
*
yeah. my son loves the lifts, escalators still ok. he not interested. but the lifts he likes to go cause of the reflective surface. few times his fingers almost got wedged in when the doors open. i really RAGE OUT at my wife the first time for not being careful vmad.gif now i just stand there and block him off completely.

Safety harness is useful. when your kid is older, its sometimes damn hard to hold on to them as they judo their way out of your grip. and hard to hold on because scared to hurt them.

finally he got gang, and i thought only my son was weird for liking lifts laugh.gif

but we carry him into the lift, same with escalators, we don't want to let him go alone, scared next time he'll go by his own doh.gif

yalar! you cannot hold them too tight cos they are still a bit fragile... and they kinda know that so will turned their wrists or just pull away to break free bangwall.gif
*
yeah i guess till they understand the concept of 'safety', better not let them go around alone hahah.

true true... by the way, which leash are you using? ok ah?
*
im using some china-brand one off of taobao. its an actual backpack so my son carries his own diapers and napkins and stuff rclxms.gif and at the bottom got a clip to hook up the strap if required. damn cute see them walk around with their back pack.

all jiken intestine, need to show my wife then sweat.gif

i saw something like this
http://www.littlewhiz.com/pd-bumble-bee-2-...ety-harness.cfm

my boy don't like carrying his bag tongue.gif
*
this one maciam too hard core hahah. with the double clip in the front. we didnt choose this type because it only serves as a harness. which means if not using, its taking up space in your bag, or waifu's bag. but if always with stroller, then doesnt matter as can clip there. for us we chose the bag type because he can carry stuff as well. like his toys and such. actually we very rarely use the harness, but his bag is always with him. its just like 2-in-1.

later once your kid associates Bag = Jalan Jalan, for sure he happy to carry it. haha. my son runs around looking for his bag after he puts on his shoes. even from our apartment to the car .. like 2-4 mins, we will make him wear the bag hahah. worried later your kid associates this harness = cannot run! sure wont like to wear it hahaha.

this one, my wife also does it. she just ripped the drypants without checking and when i come and checked, the baby has not pee on it. i go and complaint to her of wasting bla bla next time time check first bla bla. she will just like okay. cannot do anything la. she's a bigger boss than me. HAHAHAHAH
mine now what do malay called, "baru dapat kaki" so when we are out, she sees other kids running and walking, she starts to become restless. sibuk nak join sama. if i dont let her she will starts to scream her lungs out. so nak taknak, have to put her down. when i put her down, that's it. she will run everywhere and i will have follow closely behind. for safety. we are not like Japan  whistling.gif

normally if go out to a mall, i will be wearing the carrier + stroller waifu will be pushing. most of the time the baby is inside the carrier coz do not prefer to be inside the stroller. if we are lucky, then she will stay inside. if not 10min pun susah. so the stroller most of the time is used to put our stuffs  biggrin.gif

we bought 1 bag with harness but we never use it yet. but soon enough.
*
hahah. kan. yesterday pun i kena. shower my son, put on new diapers... then. i baru je pakai baju. like 5 mins and waifu said 'he pooped.' i really liek NOOOOO!!!! wasted my mamy poko!!!

for kids, they love to see other 'small people' like them. but when they baru dapat kaki its so scary. always maciam like nak jatuh. hahah. but i let my son jatuh during that time. just give him thick pants heh... last time i feel like a boss. my son run chasing another kid in the playground and he fell down. all the parents like shocked and staring at me and waifu. we just stand there. like whatever mang. hahahah. then my son get up continue chasing other kids with a big laugh.

we bought a carrier last time like RM80-90. but in the end never used it! because my son sweats a lot... like me.. so put him in there he surely will sweat and then get angry. so now we using the lightweight stroller. the yoyo type. very good. if you all got small car. i cannot praise this small stroller enough! i always wanted maclaren but too expensive. i bought off of taobao hahah. everything from taobao. some knockoff one but served us well already for like 1.5 years. https://s.taobao.com/search?q=%E5%A9%B4%E5%...&sort=sale-desc but very very good. love it. and fits nicely in my myvi.

that was before. now she sudah dapat lesen P is even worst. lari sana, lari sini. but then myself tak jugak kurus. LEL

she is just 1 year old. but the amount of energy, i dont know from where she got it. she just need to nap for like 10mins then the battery goes out for hours  bangwall.gif

bought 1 cheap carrier but me myself are not comfortable wearing it and from what i read it is not ergonomic and good for the baby either. so went and buy better quality ones. at least it will last longer. im using Nuna for stroller and i couldnt agree more on this. it is big and used so much space in the backseat. im using swift btw. so now waifu keep on complaining to buy this new stroller called Pockit around RM700. but it will saves up space in the car tho. but our Nuna is best - handling etc but in terms of size, aiyohhh.. pening
*
hahah. wait till P lesen gone. then you will be really going crazy.

checked out the pockit. seems similar to the yoyo one. which is great. its good when travelling as you can just fold it up and goes into a carry bag which can sling over the shoulder. its good because we travel every year. used to use a Quinny which is MASSIVE. i think was like a RM2-3k stoller (kawan kasi - i iz poorfag). tayar dah lah like 10" hahaha. but yeah manueverabilty is damn good. it was the 3 wheel. but once it masuk boot. thats it. nothing else. i cannot even have the boot cover thing on. semua kena dismantle. and damn heavy... really takes effort to get it in and out of the car... if i have alphard ok lah. hahahah.

patiently waiting for that. LOL!

yeah. Quinny is good. been wanting to buy but no money so opt for Nuna only. now we wanna buy a smaller stroller coz we are planning to travel this end of year. so carrying a small stroller like Pockit / Yoyo is really really helpful
*
yeah. for my stroller we always bring it on as hand carry as its small. the other strollers cannot and need to be checked in at the gate. last time my quinny also sustained some damage from that. so now we avoid checking the stroller in at the gate. if malas to bring, we will box it and check it in normally.

QUOTE(kenji1903 @ Aug 24 2016, 10:34 AM)
i'm using Quinny Zap 2, some times its really a hassle to bring it out from the boot, its heavy and bulky...

good thing is its dem solid, i have the 4 wheel one but somehow i think other strollers look more comfy leh sweat.gif
*
yeah damn heavy... quinny quite comfy but not that airy. but i think maybe nice for the rider. got suspension summore...

ei?? Quinny cannot pass thru which gate at the airport? thought of bringing the stroller cos he's too heavy to be carried around icon_question.gif

yeah a bit hot i think, that's why my boy sit awhile then his back will start to sweat sweat.gif

the suspension one 3-4k woh... the big wheels one right? ayam not so rich sweat.gif
*
can pass. but you need to check it in at the boarding gate. then they will wrap it up and put it into the plane. then when you exit they will also give to you at the plane exit. we dont do that cause last time bad experience and part of the stroller got damaged. but I didnt realise till left Hong Kong already. and also for some reason was covered in paint. which was weird. but that was protected by the bag, so no issues. except i got some on my clothes. but Cathay gib me voucher. as compensation. they said someone checked in a can of paint... wtf... so the pressure caused the can to explode. lulz. she said im lucky didnt kena my bag. some people apparently paint seeped through their luggage bye.gif

shiat... and i thought i can push it all the way into the cabin and let the crew keep it for me sad.gif

holy... habis la the cargo area... but i thought they usually scan again before loading luggage into the plane?

my bags are those hard shell ones but still heartache if kena paint, very hard to remove leh doh.gif
*
just let them know at the check-in that you want to take the stroller to the gate. then they will give you the check in luggage tag thing. same like your normal check in luggage. then give it to the person that takes your boarding ticket. they will balut and put into the cargo. but with kid at least you can go in first so dont need to rebut.

but i tell you.... its damn hassle. i dunno if will be the same when you go. but every security checkpoint you gotta fold your stroller and put it through the xray machine sweat.gif if quinny then really penat lah for you hahah.

else, i'll just buy extra 10kg first tongue.gif

cos my wife almost everything also want to bring including toilet seats and plastic basin for my boy to bathe sweat.gif
*
why.... hahahah. you moving overseas is it? hahah. thats a bit over lah. shocking.gif if the toilet seat is the one put on adult toilet seat ok lah. if like the ikea potty then take lots of space liao. the basin really lots of space... daddy or mummy just dukung the baby in the shower/bathtub lah. family shower.

try to persuade her on that also... maybe a small one like those face basin size...

do you bring along medications? so far i only have that pink fever liquid, anything else need to take note?
*
we do bring meds with us, but mainly because he goes back to my wife's hometown for long periods of time so she got like a mini medkit hahah of all his stuff like constipation meds, nasal spray, etc. things we never really use much though, but hard to find. the fever meds we dont normally take unless travelling and the destination isnt in summer like malaysia. but better safe than sorry. normally that pink one is ok, dont forget dosing syringe or just memorize the dose in a tablespoon or teaspoon. cough syrup dont really need as thats a gradual sickness. not sudden like fever. but should start bringing some bandaids of different sizes as the kids like to lari sini sana. mana tahu fall down and get a cut. we also carry antiseptic/antibacterial wipes to wipe down airport seats, strollers, tables, etc that he might touch, kiss, lick, etc on the plane (international germs yo!) hahah. also its good to wipe his hands before snacking as sometimes really damn malas to wash his hands on the plane.

Last time when my kids were a year old we moved from London back to KL. Very tiring but we landed at KLIA without any nasty moments. After that we just stayed in Malaysia and few months in Singapore and that's it.
No more long hour flights until early last year we went to different states in USA for some long trip(our second honeymoon to save our marriage but it failed to save our marriage).
It was fun though because I get to spend my time with the kids. Alone cry.gif

How to convince wife we should switch the milk from breasfeed to formula? My baby is 7 months. I can't stand listening to my wife nag in the middle of the night because the baby xnak sleep la, susu dah kering la, puting sakit la.

If like this i rather ownself feed the baby formula rather than listening my wife mumbling. Very irritating. My wife doesn't have big patiences like me.

I cant wait to feed formula to my baby. Let me awake all night i dont mind.
*
Hahah. Dude. Women always nag. But don't switch. Supplement. Tell her night time use formula. During daytime use BF. Maybe that will help. Plus BF is still the best.
