She like real food instead of milk formula.
Everytime we want to feed her solid food, she say she wan to eat by herself and eat all over the place. Sometimes when we are eating some snacks and she happen to see it, she will keep saying:
1) "Please"
2) "One piece" while showing her index finger
3) "A little bit" while closing her thumb and index finger

Super funny..

That's good, should really encourage her, like my daughter.

Old parents won't allow because of the mess.

Cleaning up after mess is a small price to pay for her independence and improved motor skills.

for those papas workign in SG, here's an option to consider:

take up SG PR and move the family there... why? bcos education in MY really cannot make it already. even neighbourhood schools in SG are on par with expensive international schools in MY.

I'm kinda regretting a little after coming back to MY
*
they really need to do something with our education system.
If given the chance I would not have come back to Malaysia, stay in UK instead. Even if they don't have the best education in Europe (scandinavian countries ftw), they are still head and shoulders above Malaysia.

Our's are way too exam oriented... neglecting the social aspect of growing up.

what if wife earns 10k in MY and Husband only earn 3.5k in SG?
*
wife earn 10k in MY means wife have some skills. these skills could also mean she can find same type of work in SG. if willing to sacrifice, maybe push come to shove, take up a position 1 level lower than in MY and adjust living standards accordingly e.g. stay HDB (not condo), take taxi MRT bus (no car)...

there's no right or wrong here... it's all about choices...

1 family's choice may not necessarily fit another

I can consider a weekend husband. I am working in SG and my wife and two wonderful daughters (2.5 years old and 6 months) are in KL. I go back once a month. Been in SG since 2002.
My wife take care of the kids and work at the same time. I also question myself whether is it worth it. This question has been going around my head since 10 years ago, lol.. I still haven't got an answer. My wife keep insisting me to continue to work in SG  unsure.gif I miss my kids  cry.gif
For baby expenses, I pay for the milk formula, diapers, insurance and medical expenses. Bought a car last year so my kids can have a safer ride. Cut most of my hobbies  bye.gif
*
Hahahaha.. cucked. Sad to say, u are just a means to her life.

Sg money good. Wife doesn't need to worry. Husband miss out of kids and work himself to the ground. No enjoyment or life.

You better check whether those kids are yours

The education system really teruk here in Malaysia.
Last time, I complain those sending children to tuition since I thought it was unnecessary, child abuse etc...

But now that I have my eldest in the public school, I know and understand the dismay. Even if my daughter is in the DLP class of a school purportedly the best in the country, it still sucks really.

At the end of the day, I became her tuition teacher since she could not digest things that are being thought in class... the look on her face when she finally understands made me feel both sad and happy at the same time.
*
so it had gotten worse? doh.gif

last time i tried my best not to go for tuition cos it takes darn a lot of time...

Some people feedback in forums that Pediasure is quite sweet. I also tried before, it is indeed sweet. Will monitor and see.

We changed a few brands already due to constipation issue. After changing to Pediasure, she seems quite ok with it.
*
my kid was on Enfalac step 1 then straight jump to Step 3, constipation sweat.gif

after that stopped and swap back to Step 2... might be going back to Step 3 again soon, maybe can try that Pediasure...

but did any docs recommend you this brand? cos i heard its usually for kids with eating problems

I do agree that SG education is really good. I have visited their high school before. But too much spoonfeed and pampered.

Tell her better bike than secret gf .
Man need a hobby .

To reduce risk ,
You have to reduce riding distance ,
Reduce hours of riding ,
Reduce your bike speed .

I reduce my workplace distance from 40 km pegi balik to 20 km , and I also reduce my bike speed ... Thinking about my daughter , I don't ride like monkey anymore .hahaa

The result ?
For the 1st time in life , I manage to survive 2 years without accident until today .
*
Good points you got that bro, didnt think of these excuses before

will try my luck lol

QUOTE(dagnarus @ May 12 2016, 09:49 AM)
actually this is not a problem at all.
some children are just shy and learn a bit slower.
no problem. dont be discouraged, all they need is just some extra encouragement and a lot of love.

my eldest can read and write when she was 4, my second one, still can't. but she has other advantages over the elder one. anyhow, I am still encouraging her, and she's showing some progress for the past few months. it can be a bit daunting at times, but remember that it is the responsibility of the parents to develop the young ones... less scolding, more loving wink.gif
*
agree on the scolding part, my wife a bit hot headed so some times will start shouting... then after that she'll tell me she feel so bad cos raise her voice laugh.gif

i told her scold/shout/beat no use now. he's too young to understand... later he'll think raising voices is a normal thing and start throwing things when he's angry
