To those using custom builds, what's your favorite? I'm looking forward to try other if there r worth mentioning ones.

I've been using dimitrology's boom Shaka laka builds for a while. Pretty happy with the single setup to have all commonly used add-ons baked in and easy to update.

Btw, I noticed kypton loads videos in exodus slightly slower compared to Jarvis. Even the interface doesn't feel much optimized in smoothness compared to Jarvis version.

I've only used it (more like testing) for a few hours and who knows, bugs may crop up later. Depending on the installed and frequently used addons, I don't see why not. As with Jarvis earlier, I use it mainly for streaming online content. Remember, there's a customized version for Minix boxes... Even though the official Jarvis or Krypton is capable, I prefer using that for local file playback and full on library.
Haven't had to use a build for awhile and when I did, preferred The Beast. As always, install new builds on a clean Kodi install.

Running a build on Krypton? Also hardware? Might explain the sluggishness... UI, Startup and Shutdown is smooth over here, same on the PC. Besides, this is the first stable release version, data is being gathered and further improvements will be implemented in 17.x versions.

I'm on S905 with 2GB ram device. Hmm. Maybe I'll go back to Jarvis then. Thanks for the advice

man, exodus has lost all their hd content sad.gif any alternative?

Just watched Silicon Valley on Exodus in Kodi 17.3. Theres still 1080p links. Some popular shows and movies are still in HD, for non popular ones it is getting rarer after gvideo links was started to be killed after Google hunting down on those abused cloud accounts.

Public knowledge? Yes.. but it didn't use to be and doesn't have to be.. I'm not stressed.. Just concerned. In case some haven't noticed.. I've been sharing less and less new stuff cuz apparently most can't seem to keep such things in their "pants".... Been a Kodi user for years, still use it for 95%+ of all streaming needs.. So far, none of the take-downs have affected my steaming needs one bit. Things have been happening for a long time and MPAA, Big Media, etc have been aware but let sleeping lions be.. Cuz why? It was noisy yet quiet.. Not anymore... If all played their parts and controlled their urges.. We probably won't be (or at minimum seriously delayed) having the massive take-downs being experienced..
Try SuperRepo... Most times, as long as a repo has it.. Once an addon requires the urlresolver addon, its gets auto-installed too.

that, i agree.

it does not pay to display in public what good stuff u have and how u get it.

it does not pay for anyone.

i for one hv learned to keep it quiet. tongue.gif

anything i need, i pm the right people.

that is a good advice. I will do so as well.

see, it is not that people do not want to share.

but one need to understand that the more publicly u display the details of those addons n apps, the higher the chance they get noticed and bam, they get removed.

so, no need to exhibit in public, use pm.

same goes to those who innocently or not, ask "where do u guys get all that xyz..." or "what box i buy to get all aztro channels".

how do u expect people to answer?!! laugh.gif

like max says, try it - kodi17.3 since it is android5.1.
u never know what u get!
but be prepared if it does not work too well since it is 1/8gb and one of the first 5.1's.

i personally have given up kodi 17 or 16 with older boxes.
too much work (to keep up), too slow, not worth my time. tongue.gif
better use it for other purposes/apps.

seriously, time to get a better box for all things good! biggrin.gif

is this build better than no limits in terms of faster and not laggy?

I would recommend Dimitrology's boomshakalaka base build then add on your plugins for a sleek Jarvis kind of UI and lower resource usage.
