how different is codi from miracast hdmi tv sticks? wouldn't it be easier just to keep all medias/games/movies/photos in android phone and stream it directly to tv with one of those miracast/ezcast/anycast/mirascreen ?

QUOTE(voncrane @ Oct 6 2016, 01:39 PM) Thanks Sherlock ... These are a few reasons.. Sure others have more.. *Not everyone has a portable laptop or desires to have it connected to the TV. *PCs are generally bulky and a pain to move about, especially for those who have monitors and or office-ish space. *Most (myself included) prefer having a dedicated media device permanently hooked up to the TV, for ease of usage by friends and family... Particularly when the laptop follows one to work, etc.. *Said media devices usually require much lower power consumption than a PC and prolongs the life of the more expensive PC HD/SSD. yes, everyone who can afford to buy Kodi box has a laptop. pc is not bulky if you have a laptop. laptop power usage is very low. so, lets start... kodi box vs 'kodi laptop'
