With all that has been going on, i decided to wipe clean my kodi17, start again.

I only wanted 2 addons... quasar and icdrama.

Quasar is easy, just get the latest repo, install quasar n burst, set the paths, subtitles, done.
Icdrama... just the 1.2.7 repo and urlresolver 3.0.1.

Simple build... org.xbmc.kodi is 60MB only.
Will wait for new good addons to stablize before adding.

Superrepo is still available but fusion.tvaddons is gone.



There is one thing i forgot how to do...

Kodi17... where do i set it to get the chinese characters instead of the boxes?

System>Interface>Fonts> set to Arial based

What specifically did you do and how did you do it? As mentioned, the Phoenix addon is already dead. Hey, take some time, go back to page one and read thoroughly. Seems you don't understand what Kodi does and how it works. Start there first.

OMG! I just tried the new OCMAX addon and it contains a folder filled with 4K H.265 content... Currently watching Transformers: The Last Knight (4K) with zero buffering..


P.S. Just joking.. No hard feelings.. We were all noobs once.

I tried installing icdrama 1.2.7 - got some error that read .. "xbmc.python version 2.25 " but the flash message disappeared before finishing. Running kodi 16.1 on older tvbox . Any idea what seems to be the problem ? Thanks in advance !

Reads like a dependency not met issue due to the difference in python versions. I'd guess that the addon was written to be more compatible or take advantage of the later python version in Krypton.. I suggest you try the earlier version (1.2.6.5).. Read that it's still working.

I think you should install the icdrama v1.2.6 first. add this source and install the video addon. http://cthlo.github.io/cthlo-kodi-repo/zips/

After that only update to v1.2.7. I tested on my Hypptv STB. no problem.

From what I've read, this phyton thingy affects only those on Jarvis.... I have same issue on Q16 but not on Android 6 box

Either way I'm still able to watch icdrama 1.2.7 on Q16 with the "phyton problem"
