I am using opensubtitle. I didnt login or anything. Just search. So far working well. Subscene as well. I go for any of these two that match the movie haha

That's two opensubtitle addons. one are patched and doesn't need to login but at rise now due to the hacking issue. another one you need to register and login. register is free. smile.gif

Install Opensubs and subscene from the official Kodi repo.. Create a free opensubs account if you don't have one already and login.. Do the same with Quasar.. No issues unless the subs addon itself is down.

Go on opensubs website and search for the sub.. If it's there, it should be on your Kodi installation as well. If not, well...

A high performance desktop PC or RPIs or HTPCs or the Nvidia Shield TV Box.. There's no "bang for buck" device, there's just what you will pay and what you won't.

yup. still working. only for the opensubtitle, need to login before can download the subs. for subscene, i just simply add and do a search & download..

but, as per my first post someone has replied about my kodi version.

i'll check back my version once got back home. the only issue i have is, most of my addons cannot stream the movies. *im using hypptv android box.
*
ok, if subs are good for u, then it should be good for others... but some hv reported no good... i have not checked lately.

hyppbox... kodi 16.1 then, not current 17.3.

movie addons... just use genesis reborn and exodus, should work... forget the rest.

i can't be sure as i have old hypp box, not new.

last i read, current box is still android 4.4.2.

kodi 17 requires android 5.0 and above.

andorid 7.1.2 is latest, android 8.0 in beta.

Just do a search of the MiBox + Kodi.. It's good until it's no good.. I gave my earlier response cuz none of us reads minds here. So coming in to simply ask for the best = budget is no concern.. With Kodi on Android media boxes..you get what you pay for.

Go back to the previous page.. There's a recommendation on a better Kodi fork to run on the STB. Also, see page one..

Edit: Just tested and Opensubs is definitely working as should... Auto-search and returned a perfectly synced English sub.

Hi I am using Javis and have not been updating or using kodi for 1 year, all add-ons were not working now. How should I do to make it up to date. Reinstall? Thanks.

Kodi v17 might have risk on subtitle hacking. Safer to used the latest SPMC or FTMC. as for me I tested FTMC is better. smile.gif

Ideally nuke and install from scratch as lots have changed since last year, especially with repo links, dead addons etc. After nuking, try to install the latest V17.3 and see if that works for you (works for me) and if it doesn't, then roll back to using SPMC or FTMC as suggested.. Whichever works best on your system.

Wrong.. That exploit among other bugs have been squashed on the latest Kodi V17.3.. Works great so far on devices such as the Minix Neo U1... Can't make such sweeping statements without knowing the device in question. biggrin.gif
