hi, i would like to know can we set the feature in kodi 17.3 to be default? i already remove movie, tv, in the menu but seem after shutdown and open again it appear.

can guide me to solve my kodi buffering problem? i gt 10mps internet but it still buffering. i watch youtube is no problem at all.

anyone manage to done audio passthrough smoothly using quasar? try few version of kod, every version also got problem even though i already make the audio passthrough setting include set the refresh rate to 2.5s.

all sound output to my Yamaha amplifier 379 (support HD master audio etc..) using HDMI

Kodi 17.3
- not manage to output digital audio (test 1 dolby digital movie in quasar)

Kodi 16.1 Jarvis
- manage to output digital audio (test 1 dolby digital movie in quasar) but the sound keep on drop off after 5-6 seconds. not smooth, looks like video cannot sync with audio, audio sound keep drop on and off.

SPMC
- not manage to output digital audio (test 1 dolby digital movie in quasar)., got noisy 'eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee' sound. when disable audio passthrough, ok.

ayone got any idea, kodi problem or my box problem?

what box model android version and spec?

actually using UBox Gen 3 S900 (1GB RAN, 16GB ROM) on Android 5.1. Box problem?

kodi audio passthru is not just about android version or 1/16, 3/32gb.

it is more about the firmware and compliance to iec/api standards.

most older boxes with lower specs can do dd/dts with kodi16.

kodi17 - very few boxes can do that at this time, becos kodi will not do the work anymore, the box makers need to do themselves with the firmware.

this may give u an idea where yr box fits in; can google to read all kinds of related problems for all kinds of boxes.

thanks bro AvFan, actually plan to purchase Himedia Q10 Pro, heard you also got this box, so this box can audio passthrough for DTS-Master audio and Dolby Digital HD Audio rite? i read in this forum, version 17.3 cannot output HD audio, this matter already solve? or still need to use Kodi 16.1 Jarvis to output the HD audio sound. actually using Quasar to watch movie alot...but without HD audio sound, feel somethings is missing....so if Himedia Q10 Pro using Kodi can output HD audio sound (DTS Master Audio/Dolby Digital HD), not mind to invest on this Himedia Q10 Pro

u mentioned quasar, so i assume u r taking about audio pass thru for kodi addons, not using kodi for usb playback.

this is so as not be confused as many people use kodi to playback usb and not some other player.



no, q10pro CANNOT pass thru digital or hd audio for kodi addons at this time.

the good news is with a new firmware expected next week, this problem will be solved.

so do you means that Himedia Q10 Pro cannout passthru HD audio for kodi addons for both Kod version 17.3 and 16.1? or only Kodi 17.3 cannot? if all kod version cannot, then i need to wait for the firmware to release before investing in new box.

but mind you, kodi16 is getting less n less attention, less support in time to come.

i hv not used kodi16 for some time now.



i prefer kodi17 overall.

if i want quasar dd/dts/hd audio, i will wait for it to finish, save the file and then playback.

not too long a wait unless yr speed is poor or doing very large files which will be difficult even for direct streaming.



if u wish to get a box that can do kodi 17.3 audio passthru now, nvidia shield, mibox in'tl and minix u9h are said to be able to do so - u can check up those.

Anyone know how to download movie faster using quasar? Whats the setting either on quasar ot my router?fyi my home line unifi 50mbps,really hard to downlaod from publoc torrent with file size more than 10GB with less seeding...mostly big files,less seeders. Choose those small files with high seeders but the sound only 2 channhel,try to download those bigger files with at least got DTS also somwtimes quite hard...most of the times stuck at the buffering mode (default buffering 20mb)

find high seed source. but the seed count sometimes not correct so u need to try another source.
im using 5mbps and max dl around 500kbps never more than that regardless of how many seeder.

So if i see high seeder but dl only 100kbps like that means seeder count is shown wrong need to choose other source.
