Had a problem this week with my kodi and minix X8 H Plus. I could not switch on Kodi at all Everytime it comes on and goes off immediately. So i uninstalled and trued to reinstall using Kodi Complete setup app from Play store. (which i used previously). Everytim i  tird to load the Kodi 16 (as Kypton  cannot be used) I keep getting a message that there is a parse error and I am unable to set it up.

I tried downloading using a mirror APK site it works and after i use (Ares Build) to install Pulse it work but all the sources are LQ quality (cannot get HD/1080 sources). When i use VPN sometimes i get the HD sources but the speed it cut so tremendously that the show buffers.

Today i tried SPMC (16.x) also same issue low quality sources only appear.

Any assistance or advise appreciated.

This few day cant watch icdrama. When click episode error msg keep prompt out.
"icdrama Error - check the log for more information".

Just a quick update. Factory reset teh whole MInix box. Downloaded SPMC 16.2 (thru Playstore) and added in only Exodus.
Works perfectly and nuch faster and ll 720/1080 links are back.

Sure.. you can do that.. Except that most malicious code are obfuscated.. aka, hidden in plain sight..   Remember that each time you manually download and run a subtitle, never know if it's gonna be the last time your device is safe..

Ever wondered how many mobile devices out there run a decent Antivirus/malware software? Now, I remember all those who venture into the android box thread asking about a device for their parents or less techy friend/family...Millions of devices ripe for harvesting...Evil Heck, most PCs are still running Norton or McAfee antivirus software...   So yeah... Besides, even good ones only catch what they know.. If it ain't in the definitions update, it'll slip quietly by.. haha

Sorry for this quick bump to v17.3 however we deemed it necessary. In the previous v17.2 we had a slight issue due to packaging certain binary add-ons like PVR, visualisation and Inputstream. Sadly we only uncovered this too late after release. Additionally on the older distros like Ubuntu 14.04 in combination with the available GCC 4.8 compiler an issue surfaced which we had to fix as well. This v17.3 release fixed both these issues and should be completely working again including the missing add-ons.

Fixes done in this release:

Fixed missing binary add-ons on release time
Fixed crash on older distros like Ubuntu 14.04 with GCC 4.8 compiler

Why go through a 3rd party addon or rss feed? I know it's convenient but when broken come here complain share info 3 days not able to see any show...

The feed from shaolinseo links to hd something .se and not icdrama.se...Don't know where the addon links to...not curious enough to check...

Got option but 720 looks more like 480...

Too bad I don't use Kodi, neither do I watch Canto & Kimchi...

There's few more sites you can just play directly from the browser...

I tried with phone...full of ads & pop-ups
I tried with box...no ads no pop-ups... strange to be honest

...but yes most of them are full of ads...just need to find one with HD & minimal non-intrusive ads... I'd tolerate one or two, afterall they are doing a free service to us...

I also agree browser is inconvenient...but when the addons & rss keep breaking...just saying there are alternatives if you can't wait
