I've just bought like, a 17-40L the other day, a superb addition to my current lens collection. Just wanting to know.. how many ppl here like, actually use L lenses??

Jus wanting to know like, what you thingk about them.. are they worth it?? Planning to get a 100-400 sumday..

Some are, some not. 50mm 1.0L not value for the ka-ching

Better read-up on lens reviews on photo.net and photozone.de before buying any big ticket item.

Also, big aperture lenses only command $$$ but their image quality is not guaranteed, not especially at their widest opening.

The 50 1.0L is out of production but eventhough, second hand lenses also not cheap.

i think it's L lenses...i won't go for L lenses with small apertures...coz they are way too costly...f4 is enough for me..for darker situations..i'd use my trusted 430 to compensate...would rather spend more money to get a better camera...30D!!HERE I COME!

i offer to challenge ur 17-40 L with my nikon no L no S lens, can fix a time and date to shoot and lets compare the edge to edge sharpness and colour reproduction.
