Heyz everyone. What's up with the Canon EF 85MM F1.2L USM Mark II? A lotta people tell me its a nice lens and I wanna get one for my lil 400D.

F1.2 is the best I guess, my bf got a 50MM F1.0 2nd hand when on holiday in Korean but the focus feeling slow. What are your opions on the 85 1.2L II and where to get? Fotokem and Shangrila say only on special order from Canon.. lame doh.gif !

canon shops, esp midvalley are very unfriendly. their staff tried to force me their products that day when I went - never going back there again

No, I am talking about the official Canon shop, not the dealer. Dealers are friendlier for some reason but the official guys don't care about their impression on the customer sad.gif

ehhehe i also got neglected few times..but when i go at 10am on a monday..they so free to talk talk to mee....

anyway i thi9nk those ppl "dealers" get comission for selling one unit of camera (hence the service with a smile) but i guess those are permanent staff at the Official canon shop (hence permanent staff no commission, thus discount on the service with a smile + lansi)

The 85mm F1.2 is a HUGE chunk of lens, decent fast potrait lens but can be hell of a glass to handhold for a period of time. Try mounting it to your camera, the body will be tilted up slightly becoz of the diameter of the lens tongue.gif

for all the shops in MV, so far shangrila does their good job for my experience...

keycolor alwyas busy when i go there
the canon shop not bad but i am not a canon users, only follow my colleague there but so far we are entertained with quite good service
fotokem those ppl oso like to neglect ppl sometime but i dun really like that shop as the way they arrange their counter which is not customer friendly at all
the other small shops i dun even bother to go in.

better to get it from a normal brick and mortar shop for such expensive item, at least you can inspect them if there's any problem.
