I find the phone overall is good but has some minor issues
1. backlight not responsive enough to ambient changes.
2. on wifi - loading FB, IG ...gudness takes ages, have to quit apps and restart.

I also found a problem with RN3. Turn on Bluetooth for Mi Band will cause crazy battery drain.

I was using RN3 with Mi Band - no problem. Last week I changed to Mi Band Pulse, again no battery drain problem. My side all good luckily.

Does the latest update solve the ever slow ambient light sensing?

Since day 1 already this phone has wifi bug. Earlier someone mention his IG cant scroll smoothly. I had that problem too. But when I switch off wifi, use 3G/4G everything ok.

Just to share my experience dealing with xiaomi and samsung service center yesterday at lowyat plaza.

Rn3 - suspect problem with charging port

Note 5 - charger and cable faulty

1st went to samsung, take number, fill up simple form and 1 minute later number is up. Explain to cs and immediately replace the charger but unlucky cable out of stock. Cs not even check for imei no. Overall transaction around 2 minutes.

2nd is xiaomi center. Need to que coz no numbering system. Cs check and luckily problem with cable only. Overall need 45 minutes before cs issue work order form for replacement. Then need another 1 hour before the replacement is ready for pick up.

I feel samsung is better in terms of cs and we pay extra for that service.

Than i realized i get a very good phone with a very good price which is rn3 and it's doesn't matter if lack of customer service.

yup agree with you on Samsung SC (mine at Wisma Bentley)

Few years back I own a Galaxy Note 2. Warranty expired, but out of courtesy they replaced the motherboard. Bring home, next day mobo died again. Return to SC, they replace motherboard 2nd time. Go home, next day died again. SC say something frying up the mobo at night, please return cable and charger. One shot they replaced all 3 items, mobo for 3rd time, charger and cable. FOC. Phone working until now. At one time there is echo, bring back to SC, they found out the tiny gasket near the mic missing, they fix it back FOC again.

Also sent a Galaxy Mega 6.3 charging port problem, they replaced in less than 30min. It was under warranty. FOC. Very nice SC plenty of devices to play with. Nice sofa and free drinks.

No experience with Mi SC yet.
My Mi4i used for 11 months ..no problem, sold it and changed to RN3 now. Hopefully never need to visit Mi SC.

I think we agreed with half of samsung price we pay for their services.

But xiaomi is not bad with their super cheap price with super specs.

well beside the after sales and service, if not mistaken I read somewhere the most costly component in a phone is the screen and Samsung screen is one of the best. After you look at AMOLED screen, you look at others..the are dull.

Mi source their components from cheaper vendors. We do get what we pay for.
Well anyway, I am happy with RN3 (my 2nd phone) best bang for the buck at this moment, primary is a Galaxy Note 4.

I can't seem to find the tool to edit the video recorded with the camera. Did I missed it or the RN3 doesn't have such feature?

Flash plus 2 looks like a good deal to me. Front fingerprint sensor, HiFi dac chip, 3 card slot and stock android 6.0.. it brings what RN3 didn't have, minus point for the mediatek proc and smaller battery capacity.

what brand bro this Flash Plus 2?

I just freaking like the Huawei p series design. Oh my.. this redmi note 3 design, I don't really like tongue.gif

somehow for me i dislike Huawei design especially the front bottom part under utilised (similar to Asus). Again wasted screen space, should move the 3 buttons down like Xiaomi and Samsung. If that space is use to put front speaker like HTC, I can accept such design since it will give user front stereo speaker watching video or listening to audio.
