They say lock bootloader is to protect customers from shady resellers but many China AP units still come with shitty vendor rom and bloatware.

And now I'm going to be using my old phone for another 10 days because I don't want to reconfigure my apps and settings when I flash Xiaomi.eu rom. What a joy kill.

It'll be worth it, buddy! Trust me. Xiaomi.eu rom has been working fantastic for me. 1.6 gb free ram, battery life is a monster and smaller footprint.

Xiaomi's execution of the process is really horrible, but I guess we give and we take la. It's really not excusable, but what to do.

Very good battery, mostly on Wifi?

My SOT so far. On Xiaomi EU rom. I have 13% battery left. Mostly on WiFi and when connected to WiFi I switch on 2g (Because to switch back to LTE is pretty fast on RN3).

Mi Unlock stuck at 50%, couldn't verify device despite following this entire guide.

http://54.243.194.135/thread-280561-1-1.html

Their response when I posted a thread about it, is to delete my thread and say : please be patient, our server is currently experiencing an unexpected error and no need create separate thread, since you are not the only one affected by this.

0/10. Would not recommend Xiaomi phones to power users who like to have full control over their phones.

The person who came up with the idea of locking bootloaders in Xiaomi deserves to burn in hell.
*
The unlocking procedure is very annoying, I give you that. But back when Xiaomi didn't unlock bootloaders, vendor modifications went down to kernel level, meaning we had more dangerous spywares and adwares (they had root access), and it was more difficult to remove for the average person. I mean, if now also people dont know how to remove vendor rom, how can we expect them to do the same for kernels, etc.

It's not exactly a popular step lah, I was complaining like hell when my unlocking experience didn't go as smooth as I expected it to be. But then I guess we have to understand that it was necessary for user safety.

So now you unlocked? What problem you get previously?

Device not recognized or something like that. I flashed the global dev rom via updater then everything worked.

Few questions for those still using the global stable rom 7.1.7.0.
Is the fingerprint setting work? Mine when enter the fingerprint setting, it'll go to screen lock & password setting ,not finger print selection.
Besides, in photo setting, is it only able to choose high or medium quality, no 8,10 or 13mb setting? In video setting also only hd or full us setting only, no 720 or 1080p setting?
*
Are you sure it's global stable?

In regards to the camera, yes, those are the only settings. I'd you're not satisfied, download Google Camera and give it a whirl.

Yes, global stable.
Currently updated prompt for the upgrade to 7.3.2, wonder will the upgrade able to solve finget print setting issue and also provide.more setting on camera & video mode?

I think it should. But best to perform a full flash or download full rom then update using app.

Setting is still the same. Even on Xiaomi EU it's like that

Considering doing a service to flash RMN3Pro to global. I'm thinking of charging RM 30 to do it. Let me know if you're interested.
