Most ppl overclock by increasing d FSB since d CPU ratio/multiplier is locked by d manufacturer. icon_idea.gif

ALL Retail P4 CPUs are hardlocked, except for some certain families.

Asus Pioneered the way to unlocked(limited) Prescott D0 and above.First, u've to make sure u've got a Prescott D0 or above CPU. Then, try adjusting the multi and see if it works.

you can't unlock the ratio unless yours is an ES version which has multiplier unlock

P4's are generally unlockable. tools i've found so far can only mess around with AMD multipliers.

there was this other tool that drops the multiplier according to your CPU load, but it didn't function with my 3.0E.

but playing around with the FSB should be sufficient enough for intel overclocking. i had a Neo2-V too (bought it when i killed my p4p800se) and managed to take the proc up to 3.6 (first person to spawn on BF2 tongue.gif).
