Alot of kampung folks attribute sharp shrieking /crying sound outside their house = pontianak/supernatural beings , without even /dare to take a peek outside to VERIFY.

I had my first share of "pontianak" alright.... the constant loud crying does sound creepy as this CICADA went into my house one day and hide behind the cabinet. it took one whole hour of me trying to poke at it for it to finally shut up (well almost, the shrieking noise reduced to once per minute) . It died the next morning.
