I used to buy and play Dow1 and Dow2. Also CoH 1 & CoH 2 (different title but related because same publisher, bought over by Sega from THQ ? I think)
I must say, not really excited because seeing how they screwed up Coh 2 and Dow 2 is 'meh' imo.
Problem with Sega games, its either very few continuation like free patch or expansion or otherwise a lot of expensive but useless DLCs.
Since Dow 3 publisher is Sega, the last time I enjoy their games is Shogun 2 which I bought almost all of their DLCs like ikko ikki, RoS & FoS because Shogun 2 & their DLCs was that good and kick ass, didnt regret buying their DLCs.
Later came Rome 2 & Attilla, total play time is prolly less than a week and then delete everything. CoH 2 played till the Western Front DLC for couple of months and very rarely touch it since. In fact, I play Shogun 2 till this day then any of their newer games.
DoW 3, the devs and people making those decision should really learn from Blizzard Ent. Create a game with good continuation and offer good mix of online experiences (meaning good balancing) and offline modes besides campaign something like Warcraft 3 RTS Scenarios. Then, from time to time patch up the game, fix bugs and unbalance or OP exploits.
Remember DoW 1 where the Necrons were practically invincible lel and multiplayer is a joke. So, to gamers who is hyped about this. Hold on any pre-orders, dont get ripped off and we need to tell the game developers we arent buying games that is hyped but lacked of quality gameplay and content.
Cheers.
