I've encountered some problems like this before, due to some funny character encoding in the file name. Not being able to delete or rename the file, but still able to move it. So I did a workaround, move the file into /tmp which is cleared automatically upon reboot.
That's a great tip! Even for a longtime Mac user. Thanks dude! For stubborn files, I usually use terminal and use the "rm -R" command. Usually works.
