QUOTE(teikwing @ Feb 6 2007, 11:26 PM) i havent tried key in alot of events but currently i've set around 50 reminders. think still can be more than that. u can set anniversaries, reminders, appointments, birthdays etc. but the fon wont show u how old is the person. can only set alarm for it to remind u the day. the calender & to-do list is on the Today screen. so 1 tap on the screen will let u access them. it's very convenient to me but u might wanna try the fon @ fon shops 1st before purchasing it..u know..everyone's taste is different. phonebook can store lotsa info. such as picture (which will show up when u calling/receiving call from that person), fon numbers (max. 6), email (max. 3), address (include postcode & city), job title, company & add extra notes about the person..the fon has a specific note section for it. like what sonyclie77 said..u might wanna get the unlimited data usage plan if you're a heavy user as normal charge rates based on the amount of data you sent/received is expensive. hope all these info helps. correct me if any of the info here is wrong. will m600i auto save outgoing sms? email? mms? media player like u know playlist those kind where i can set my play list and hen hear mp3 what format does the video support? btw, maxis 3g got the see tv with 3g can i use that on my m600i? can i install IM such as msn, YIM into m600i and use maxis 3g to be online? argh damn more and more poison injecting into my head This post has been edited by nicholas84: Feb 7 2007, 12:03 PM

I found this review from mobique.com does this problem still persist?
Battery: choice limited to BST-33 cell type only Once again, the limitation in battery choice was a little something that I wasn't too happy about. Given that both the BST-33 and the newer (and higher-capacity) BST-34 are virtually identical in their physical sizing, with the exception of their thickness (being quite marginal), Sony Ericsson could've done something with the M600i design to allow for the option of a higher-capacity cell. An extra millimetre or two, especially for a 3G-enabled model, would NOT have made the difference between a buy-don't-buy situation. And for the business user, being able to get more bang out of a single battery charge is - without question - a big plus over the need to try and keep the thickness of a phone to a bare minimum. Don't forget that the M600i is a business-orientated product!
Messaging: trying to get third-party client support can be a nightmare My search for an M600i-compatible BlackBerry Connect client ended after doing several Google searches (with different keywords). And guess where I finally ended up downloading the SIS file from? From an Indonesian mobile operator's support page, which had all the different BlackBerry Connect clients (for different platforms) available. Just how funny is that huh?! Well, to be honest, I wasn't at all impressed. Why was it necessary for me to scourge around the Internet looking for something that should've been hosted by Sony Ericsson themselves? Even Nokia makes their BlackBerry Connect clients available for download through the "Biz Software" app on their Eseries devices, which also automatically installs upon transfer completion. Doing a search on the Sony Ericsson site resulted in nothing solid - only information on what third-party push email services are supported (duh!) And trying out the apps that take me to the software market pages via the M600i's in-built Opera browser only clocked up more data charges onto my account! If you're an individual customer looking to own an M600i for its push email capabilities, remember to make sure that the necessary apps and clients are in place. Corporates looking at the M600i will probably have these deployed onto the devices by their mobile network operators anyway... who knows!
Organiser: alarms don't sound when phone is in 'silent' mode Why is there no option on the M600i that would allow alarms to be audible whilst the smartphone is in silent mode? Or maybe, I should just ask "why the heck doesn't the alarms go off?!" I have a habit of using my phone as my personal alarm clock - which, of course, is to help me wake up on time in the morning. For some reason, during my first week with the M600i, I found myself sleeping overtime... WAY overtime (yes, I enjoy my slumber moments). Having thought it was my own ears playing tricks on me, I decided to get another alarm (or phone) as backup. And it was only on the third day that I realised that M600i's alarm wasn't actually making any sound whatsoever - except for the vibrating noises it makes when the "silent alarm" goes off! At that time, I didn't quite understand what was going on - but after some experimentation with the not-so-smart-phone, the answer to the presented dilemma was "don't silent the phone if you want an alarm to go off". Now, that's simply absurd! I've never come across any phone (or smartphone) where an audible alarm doesn't actually sound, even in silent mode. Probably the only ones that have been like that are the past P-Series models from Sony Ericsson. It would be nice if they had an "alarm sounds even when in silent mode" option on the M600i, and any future models that Sony Ericsson plans on releasing (the P990i is probably the next to exhibit this same issue).
UI: phone system still very unstable, even after two firmware upgrades At the time of this review, the latest phone software version for the M600i was R4A002 - and Sony Ericsson has stuck with this version for quite some time already, which probably means that they feel it is "stable" enough for use. But after having used the M600i extensively since the upgrade, I am still finding stability issues with the phone. The biggest problem was with the phone restarting itself sporadically (at least once every 2-3 days) - and the reason given being "to improve overall phone performance". Yeah... fine, but just not when I'm in the middle of doing something - and without any sort of notification whatsoever! However, when compared to the previous major release, R3A004, the upgraded M600i was indeed more stable (and problem-free) than before.
Usability: slower-than-expected response times from smartphone UI The overall responsiveness of the M600i UI is no comparison to the lightning speeds of the P910i. Not to say the M600i was unbearable when it came to its use - but this will probably come as a major shock to those existing UIQ 2.1 users who've grown accustomed to the finer workings of their smartphone device. This will be something that Sony Ericsson needs to work on improving. "Tolerable" is how I'd describe the responsiveness of the UIQ 3 platform at this stage.

QUOTE(sonyclie77 @ Feb 28 2007, 02:58 PM) Most apps cannot be used on UIQ 3 due to Symbian signed requirement on UIQ 3. I used Agile Messenger while using my W950i / P990i. so you're always connected to 3G network?
