Owner of P990i and guess im one of the 1st batch cos i grab it around the 1st month of the release. Just updated to Generic World firmware and so much better in speed and function especially the fact its so hard to turn the loudspeaker on when you are calling someone before they pick up which is now improved. Nice job SE

Guys last time i can receive email from my streamyx to my p990 and using maxis. After updating the new firmware i have lost the ability how do I do it?

3G can cause me twice the battery life than GSM

The new world generic firmware is soooo good. Now along with swiss manager pro it never hangs on my device. And best of all so fast and better video recording. Im starting to love my p990i again

Guys if you save a website when you are browsing with P990i, how do you find the file from the file manager? And how do you clear those history pages that you have visited? Afraid the temporary files took alot of the phone space

What is new in generic world 1/2? I updated it and feels nothing change. The most noticable changes is from the old firmware to generic world firmware

Did you snooze or completely dismiss the alarm?

Its just firmware bug and it is possible with a few firmware changes will be able to at least reduce those bug. But its weird once i upgrade to world generic firmware i dont have any bug but just a bit slow response.

Hey peeps wanna ask how do you activate the loud speaker when talking if someone calls you?(not when you call someone)

I know you have to press alot of button to activate but arent there any other ways like press one key to activate?
And for those who used Nokia s60 before, whenever you are on a conversation with someone, by pressing the menu button directly opens the menu folder but how to do it if you are using P990 besides more>taskmanager when talking?

Im using a Midland set and successfully update mine by myself. The P990i is so much better now. Aside from the transition feature i find it much faster and the sound so much louder. And im not boasting, IT IS MUCH LOUDER THAN w800i and K750i with the latest firmware confirmed! I tried it with my friends and they are also on the latest firmware. I really hate those SE k750 and W800 fanboys that always deny the fact. Use the same mp3 and play on the loudest volume then tell me.

Can anyone help me on my P990i? I would like to know if i put a very long sms tone when I received a sms what can i do to cancel the tone? Meaning when I receive the sms it will ask you to read the message or not but no matter what i press it wont stop the sms tone but only you can stop it when you press ok to read the sms. What if I received a sms and Im busy and want to read it later? I press on the no button but still the tone wont stop.

Another thing is when you uninstall some applications, after a random period all of the uninstalled software will prompt you to install again. Very annoying. How do i permanently delete them and without the prompting again? Thanks for all of your help
