macbook pro battery, dropped 40 % after fully charged

hi there everyone. recently i have bought a macbook pro mid2012 model. it was awesome however i just noticed that the battery life seems a bit weird... i had fully charged it 1 day ago and i shut it down and now when i boot it on it shows only 60% . after fully charged then i unplugged the charger and leave it in the bag for 1 day ++ . is it normal ??

You might need to re-calibrate the battery. And before you have bought it, you should check how many power cycles it has registered and the battery health status. The worse case scenario is to get a new battery. Cheers.
