mammoth just issued a letter to their tenants saying that the SEA game confirm will held there in Aug 2017, and the mall opening date "confirm" will fall in Dec 2017...

even if they manage to get the venue up and running for the games, what about the supporting infrastructure such as:
Carparks
Convenience stores
F&B
Accommodation

such a missed opportunity indeed if they indeed can't deliver. time will tell. just a couple of months away.

any owner for EMPIRE CITY able to comments on the common facility provided by EC ..... i really keen to know how good or bad is the common facility .....plus when will Empire City mall open? will it able to pull in all the anchor tenant it had mentioned bef which i think is kinda impressive in the selection of tenant ....

time is hard now, even the latest Mytown shopping mall also not able to achieve 60-70% occupancy frm my observation....Vilocity by Sunway did a better job in getting the tenant in compare to Mytown.....

Will Mammoth able to replicate the success of Empire Subang (which they had sold).....let us all buy popcorn n see how Mammoth Empire pull this out plus its existing project Empire Remix & Empire Residence

Empire City ice rink will be up and running by June 19

PETALING JAYA: The wait is finally over!

After several delays, the KL SEA Games venue for ice skating and ice hockey at Empire City in Damansara Perdana will be up and running next Monday.

This was confirmed by Youth and Sports Ministry secretary-general Datuk Lokman Hakim Ali after he inspected the Olympic-size ice-skating rink yesterday.

The RM30mil facility, built with expertise from German-based company Ice Business GmbH Professional Ice Rinks, was supposed to have been ready in February.

“This is already my eighth visit and I’m very satisfied with the progress.

“It will be ready in another week’s time,” said Lokman.

“The ministry would like to thank Mammoth Empire group (project developer) for its tireless efforts to get the venue ready.

“The skating and ice hockey teams can start using the venue for their training from next Monday.

“We will let them conduct a test run and await their feedback.”

Lokman also said that the Empire City ice rink would be the first in Malaysia to be installed with a cement flooring.

Sand surface is the cheapest and fairly energy-efficient due to its good heat transfer characteristics, but the usability is limited to ice sports.

Concrete surface, on the other hand, is suitable for some special needs.

“A properly engineered cement floor will enable the venue to host more international tournaments and non-ice sports events in the future,” said Lokman.

The winter sport will make its debut at the KL Games.

A total of eight gold medals will be up for grabs in ice skating – two in figure skating and six in short track speed skating.

Ice hockey offers one gold medal.

I received TIME internet pamphlet last week..call the number in the back..he said send text message of my address..then i sent it, got text from maxis that my message was unable to send due to the number's phone memory is full..

so i dont want to waste my time calling him again..i just called the man. office asking whether TIME internet available or not in MYLOFT..her reply was very satisfying! NOT YET..

I wonder when is fibre available in here..GoT is now episode 3 already..
