QUOTE(Lyu @ Apr 27 2016, 02:14 PM) I opened 1 call Cash account... It seems you are investing at Maybank for it's unit-trust. Why the personnel talked into you buying even though it's complicated? Can someone englighten me as the personnel talked so complicated..... Any Maybank investor here? Remember, when you invest, there is potential risk of loss and great gains. By right, just choose the fund which is suitable to your needs. |

It should take about that duration. the personnel told me it takes 3 - 5 days to process the acc.... thx If you deposit to the share acc from your MBB sav acc, it will take about 1 day (depending what time you deposit, they have different timing). Cash account in my opinion is safer than margin for retail investor. If you have higher risk appetite, like most of my friends, they take margin acc.. limit is x2-3 of your amount in the trust acc. Cash account... is like if you have 10k in the acc, your limit will be about 9.99k (the amount include the transact cost). |

QUOTE(wkphang @ May 4 2016, 12:04 AM) The RM 1.2k, you put in Maybank savings/current account, or the trust/share account? I put it in the saving account. How do I know if they ady open the trading account for me? I still need to wait for their notification right if they opened a trading account for me? |

QUOTE(Lyu @ May 4 2016, 08:45 AM) I put it in the saving account. I thought saving account = trading account.... Nope. No, I haven't get my CDS number. They yet contact me nor email to notify me. How do I know if they ady open the trading account for me? I still need to wait for their notification right if they opened a trading account for me? Saving account is different from trading account You can transfer the funds to trading account from saving acc via mb2u portal, if you have the online banking acc. Both the CDS and trading account when is ready, they will either email (if you provide your email address) to you, or send you the hard copy mail. Email usually faster to notify. If the personel serving your acc is hardworking, he/she will also contact you about the status. Once you has the CDS acc (via mail copy), your PIN for the trading account should be send together with the mail. Once you have access to the trading platform... go through the details/info there, see if all are correct. If confirm correct, then you can transfer the money from your saving acc to trading acc via the mb2u portal if you have access to it. Depends on the timing, if you transfer in the morning, the funds will available at your trust acc within 1 day.... however, if you transfer in the evening, then the funds will available the next day at your trust acc. Once you have the funds available at your trust account, you can start to trade accordingly. |

So I called then but can't get them as the operator was busy... So, I haven't receive my trading account but is it that we use current account for trading? I googled n it stated that current account is for multiple transaction usage... |

CDS number is mainly used for applying IPOs and receiving dividends as far as I know and no, you do not deposit into your Current Account. Has nothing to do with your brokerage account. One more thing, I went to deposit some minimum money into my Current Acc ... After that, I logged in Maybank2u to check the amount. You are suppose to deposit the money using the Trading Account number provided by MIBB and NOT the CDS account number. This post has been edited by ILoveLalat.net: May 9 2016, 01:52 PM |
