The review is in...AWESOME.........

Qioted from xbox live forum>>> http://forums.xbox.com/14467864/ShowPost.aspx
"6 reviews so far:

PCG UK: 9.5

OXM UK: 10

Xbox World: 9.4

Alternative Press: 10

Gamers: 9.8

Game Informer: 10

The quotes are better!

"A Perfect Score: That's what BioShock deserves as it is one of the most original, haunting and memorable shooters to come along since Half Life."
-AP

"This is the really bewildering thing about it: it succeeds so stunningly on three different fronts. Not esoteric ones, either, these are the big challenges developers have been struggling to master for decades: narrative, emergence, a sense of place. If another game did just one of these as well as BioShock, it would immediately qualify as a classic. When a game comes along that does all three, we can only be baffled and thankful.

I spend my career, and my gaming life, waiting for a moment when a game just astonishes me, when I can't believe what I'm seeing, what I'm doing. BioShock has five."
-PCG UK

"BioShock is a novel compressed into a first-person shooter. It manages to be both a tricky, exciting action game, a fascinating creation of an enclosed world and a deep enquiry about what it means to be human - a trick most action movies and books fail to achieve. It also plays with you at every stage, confounding your expectations and your control over events repeatedly, from your control over your weapons, Plasmids, plot, self...

And this is where we have to stop ourselves - we don't want to spoilt it. What we can tell you is you'll be playing this game for months to come, exchanging story elements to build up the bigger picture, and arguing about what it all means. Come, join the argument, play the impossible game."

Play-Asia doesn't know about the LE version. So looks like that'll be out after the regular version is released. Looks like the americans, and europe get the LE first.

I've been following this game for quite some time. The only reason I didn't plunk down cash to butya 360 is because of the hardware problems. Djinn, if you get the ones with th new chips soon, you'll be getting a new customer....I want this game soooo bad!

hi virgil..i guess u must have a high-end pc setup with the latest GC for DX-10....and can u imagine playing the pc version through 42" lcd TV....just one quote for U : "The REAL difference in a pc gaming rig vrs xbox 360(high def) is the resolution. That has a major dramatic effect on the way everything looks...While playing Bioshock on xbox 360 on high def will look like quite nice, it will look like total garbage compared to a pc rig with settings cranked to the max with 1900X1200 resolution.". drool.gif

Recommended PC system requirements: -

CPU: Intel Core 2 Duo processor

System RAM: 2GB

Video card:
DX9: Direct X 9.0c compliant video card with 512MB RAM (NVIDIA GeForce 7900 GT or better)
DX10: NVIDIA GeForce 8600 or better

Sound Card: Sound Blaster(R) X-Fi(tm) series (Optimized for use with Creative Labs EAX ADVANCED HD 4.0 or EAX ADVANCED HD 5.0 compatible sound cards)

Important Note: Game requires Internet connection for activation

"How does the DX10 version compare to the 360 graphics? And DX9?
The 360 and DX9 graphics are roughly equivalent. The DX10 graphics add a few additional features and image quality enhancements on top of this.

How high a resolution can you play this game at with recommended specs for DX9 and DX10? What will the frame rates be?
Pretty much whatever your monitor and card support. For a really good frame rate we would probably recommend 1280x1024, though you could go higher if you prefer higher resolution to super high FPS."

That's a reason I'm going with the 360. I can't afford to keep changing graphics cards everytime a totally new game comes out. TO play on the highest settings, I'll have to change every year. At least a console plays for 3-4 years.

Silencer knows, he only uses his computer for office work. LOL

Don't think there is multiplayer for Bioshock...
Anyway, i am getting it for my 360 too. Now i find it more engaging playing FPS on console, than PC...don't know why.

Won't bother with PC upgrade until Starcraft 2 arrive... tongue.gif

LE for bioshock...to get or not to get?!??!

That's cos with consoles, you don't have to immediately upgrade your gfx card to the latest 99000GTXXXXX, and you don't have to add in another 26zomgGB of ram to play the damn thing...

Oblivion on the PC cost me 3k to play when it came out -.-
I have since learnt my lesson.
