Cheap tablet that can store multiple 64Gb file and accept wired usb transfer from cam? Well, surface pro seem to fit the bill but i wont call it cheap and storage still limited.

Alternatively just get another sd card or an ultra thin laptop.

what i did for backup before was using my asus t100 with 500gb dock, simply cos my camera didnt possess capability to wifi transfer.
so yea if i had a newer camera with wifi I would definitely use my phone next time.

I wont exactly recommend transfer with wifi regardless cause it will kill the battery faster and can disconnect in between transfer. Wifi mainly use if want to upload jpeg quick to social media. Transfer direct from sd still faster and secure.
