I personally found that the advert done by Sony to promote it's VAIO C Series notebook is very annoying. Everytime the mouse cursor moved past it, it covers all of the forum threads on the main page. These sort of advert are badly designed and it sure irritates user. Previously it was Intel V PRO advert and now this??? I know these advert contributes income to LowYat.net but ease of browsing the forum is important as well. No hard feelings. Just thought of voicing out my opinion

where do you think the funds to contribute for "ease of browsing" comes from? Not to mention, we rejected the request for expandable ads to be put on the forum page.
There is a close button on the ad in order to close it. There is a whole bunch of other sites out there who use similar (if not more in your face) advertisements, yet, it would seem that only here there is a never ending barrage of complaints. I don't see it as asking too much for a site that doesn't charge, doesn't collect, and is only funded by ads (and a large hole in my pocket) |
