Hello!

I know this topic is all over the internet and I can get info from google.
But I don't trust articles from online magz and bloggers since I'm afraid they're just sponsored..

So that is why I'm here!

See, I just permed my hair, and ever since that day, hair has been crazily falling off.
I can see from the floor, just this morning I sweep the floor, now at night there's already a stack of hairs all over the place.
Every time I wash my hair I can see the filter is stuck with lots of hair already (I cleaned it bath time)

Can you guys share experience of hair thickening treatment that work/doesn't work?

Me:
I've tried Mustella Baby dermocleansing, I used it as shampoo, it works as anti hair fall, can see after 2x wash the hair fall when I wash my hair is only few strands, a lot less than usual.

But I want something thickening la..so if there's nothing good, then only I will use Mustella looor
(I didn't buy it, got it as a sample)

I also tried the green colour Rene Furterer, available at SASA. My mom bought for me in Paris last time, she said it's very cheap there (the difference is like 3x cheaper than price here)
I am currently using it, I leave it for a minute as instructed, but no effect, can't even prevent hair loss, even Mustella works better leh..

I've tried sunsilk also, no use..obviously sweat.gif

Try using castor oil! It promotes hair growth.

It doesn't have a strong scent but it doesnt smell great either.
You can do some research on that smile.gif

Let me find a white rat to try my shea butter on the hair to test whether it leaves sticky or oily feeling on the head after applying lol laugh.gif
As far as I know, shea butter should be able to restore your hair growth when your scalp becomes healthy again.

I don't mean olive oil. I really did use castor oil.
I massage a little on my scalp and then leave that on my head with a towel for 30-60mins. After that I wash that off in the shower.
Looked ridiculous for that hour but I usually do it at night or when I don't have to leave the house. Definitely not walking out the house with oily looking hair XD
Its more like a "hair pack" , definitely not like a "leave-on conditioner".

Avoid physical activity, Your doctor will doubtless tell you not to venture in the sun upon surgery. Take care to also avoid strenuous exercises that will make you sweat. Sweating increases the risk of infection to a great extent. You should also avoid visiting steams and saunas for the same reason.

First of all, the chemical perming solutions has make your scalp sensitive. I suggest you to go for a detox and cleansing so the chemical will not left over on your scalp which makes it clogged , oily and sensitive. There's one product I have tried which is really effective that i brought from my regular salon. I can recommend to you if you want to. Don't buy those products from hypermart which is not specialized on your target problem.

daily: use organic shampoo if possible, compliment with conditioner.
l'occitane, soap artisan, kindersoap (hairsoap), ah yuan (available in aeon)

hair falls from scalp, scalp is skin, therefore too much chemical is bad because skin absorbs chemical.

weekly:
castor oil / coconut oil

apply on weekends or whenever you don't need to go out the next time. make sure to massage onto scalp. can leave on for 15mins and above...

then wash off. if dislike oily feel, wash off like salon, at least 2 wash. lather organic shampoo in. may or may not follow by conditioner, coz the oil is moisturising enough. dry normally.

using good source/brand shampoo & conditioner = key.

former alopecia patient here where losing all hair happened, and had to start back by using sisley shampoo (extremely expensive due to its ethical practice and quality organic ingredients).. then slowly ease to ah yuan's shampoo coz its ingredients are mostly self-grown and organic. every day i'd apply coconut oil so to protect scalp.. now that my hair grows back, i do it once a week.

eat healthy, do exercise, those are what docs say too. and do head massages.

Try supplements like Kordels Evening Primrose Oil and take some Vitamin B in the form of supplements or from food intake. Your body might be lacking in this nutrients. It helps and stops hair loss. Stop the current shampoo you are using it may cause severe hair loss due to harsh chemicals in it. biggrin.gif

Hi

Good day. I came across your post and would like to add in the discussion smile.gif

I'm a nutritionist cum beautician by profession, sometimes hair fall may not only caused by the scalp condition, it may be caused by lack of nutrients in the body or over stressed in your daily life style. Treat the problem from the root can easily solve the health issues.

I have helped many people who have hair fall problem to improve their conditions by switching in healthy diet. Find out the cause problem and treat it properly and you will see the improvement.

Dear Tze Hui,

For your condition, looks like after your hair permed, the hair fall may caused by hair damaged after the perming process. Be cautious in choosing the shampoo range & highly recommended for you to do hair treatment regularly. you can book a hair analysis session with me to understand your scalp condition and learn how to improve it

Feel free to contact me: Jun 012-2594968

Hope this helps!

Cheers,
Jun

I also agree with the previous speaker about castor oil. As for me, I prefer to use only organic and natural hair products. Also I take vitamins for healthy hair and skin (biotin) and I make coconut hair mask three times a week. I have thin shoulder-length hair. Sometimes when I want to make my hair more voluminous I use hair extensions with natural hair. It looks great. I like to experiment with different hairstyles.

Hi, I’m new here and just came across this. My brother has hair loss problem and after using ginger shampoo for 3 months, his hair grew noticeably. We are all very surprised with its effectiveness. smile.gif

I bought this for him from Facebook - https://www.facebook.com/groups/caringmoms/...474259932066189.

If you don’t have Facebook, the seller has wechat id kellylew99.

Give it a try. The shampoo has lots of natural ingredients and no silicone. Silicone is known to block hair follicles and causes hair loss. Hope it will help you too. smile.gif
