Hi bros,

I am currently looking for a laptop that has a good screen for media viewing, nice keyboard for typing and decent power for latest gaming. I m also a sucker for good build n design.

I know it is quite demanding, considering I am looking at about RM 3.5k to 4k max.

I been reading alot about Dell Inspiron 15, which is a entry level gaming laptop. Though its screen can be abit dim and keyboard not so good. It is easy to upgrade and the surface is rubberized (not sure if this is good as its a finger magnet).

MSI PE60 is more expensive and has aluminum build, but only on the outer shell. Inside build is abit cheap as they say. The screen is commendable and keyboard is better than the Dell.

I am not a laptop expert, and I am currently using a 6-year old Asus laptop which is already slowing down and hanging frequently. I am thinking to get a new one that I can bring overseas for work (and play too). I will be based overseas for some time.

I m not a fan of Acer and HP.

Any sifus here who have used these laptops or have better worth-your-money options, are very much appreciated.

no point get dell with 4k. stick with 1080p non-touch. GTX960M handled 1080p decently only.

I have read through 2 reviews via notebookcheck (pretty trusted site), and seems like Dell is an all rounder, while the MSI packs a little bit of 'steroid' over the Dell in terms of screen, chassis build and performance.

Go for Dell I'd say (as I'm aiming to get one as well)

Dell 7559 as was mentioned here, is indeed an all rounder pack with performance. best bang for your buck indeed. Msi PE60 may have similar performance but it has better build quality overall.

Plus, if u can get the broadwell version msi pe60, you can get superior display panel, rich accurate color which is good for photo editing stuff, and also a plus for gaming. Not only that msi pe60 just like other msi line gaming laptop, features cooler boost 3 button, a manual switch u can turn on to make the fan to go full speed, which is a convenient feature for extensive long hour gaming session.

After all, it depends solely on your choice though. Both Dell 7559 and Msi pe60 are equally good in my opinion~~

but don't forget the dell inspiron 7559 comes with 2 screen
either LG or BOE screen, can look at notebookreview forum
but after calibrate = problem solved
lastly, I would say this laptop is quite heavy, but other than that is perfect brows.gif
