For bibir better use vaseline

For face, moisturiser.

For butthurt, use KY Jelly.

I wouldn't use any petroleum jelly for face or any part of my body. Don't know how much toxic substance is inside petroleum products.

Vaseline for mouth is very bad idea. Better use a real Shea butter lip balm. Don't know how much toxic substance is inside petroleum products.

QV's ingredients;
QUOTE
Aqua (water), paraffinum liquidum, glycerin, petrolatum, cetearyl alcohol, squalane, dimethicone, ceteth-20, stearic acid, laureth-3, glyceryl stearate, methylparaben, dichlorobenzyl alcohol.

Other than the straightforward water....can't even understand the rest. Alcohol is the main factor that dries up skin & since water is first in the list means that it's the largest content. Do people read product labels? sweat.gif

Cetearyl alcohol is Fatty alcohol. It's not drying...it's on many moisturiser list. It's not really alcohol.

Yes, alcohol is drying... Fatty alcohol is moisturing.

It is recommended you go for a food allergy test with your doctor to find out whether is it food or environmental factors which is causing your eczema.

I got very sick when I cut out many essential food and in the end I found that I was not allergic to any of them.

My eczema was not improving. Only after the food allergy test that I found out that my skin condition was due to environmental factors.

Need to moisturise the skin after bath and constantly applying lotion throughout the day.

This.

It is important to identify the factor causing your eczema. If it's diet related, I would recommend you to take healthy & balanced meals on daily basis, breakfast is especially important. I can suggest some detoxification meals if you would like to know more.

If it's environment factor, air-borne allergens such as dust mite may be the reason causing your eczema as they are all over the fabric surface, such as our pillow & bed sheets.

For external application such as lotion, you can try Allano Hand & Body Lotion / Aloe Care.

Hope the above helps smile.gif

Thanks. But my eczema is now induced by abuse to topical steroids cream. Stop using it and the body went crazy since too dependent on the steroids.

This Renew Lotion is from Melaleuca.

Not sure if you heard of it but it is similar to Amway that sells through members only. Melaleuca range of household products and body wash, etc focus on natural plant based ingredients without the harsh chemicals typically found in the commercial product off the shelves, hence very suitable especially for ppl with sensitive or dry skins. Product pricing are reasonable.

well u can use this Ezerra cream, it is sold in our local pharmacy shop. i know it states there is for infant / baby use. but it helps reduce itchiness at night , well it works for me, i am 32 yrs this year n i have been suffering from eczema for the past few years (especially on my hands, i have to wrap my hands with bandages every night before i sleep, else i will end up scratching it at night n bleed the next morning)

user posted image

well if u can afford a more expensive brand, i recommend u to use physiogel brands.

i have eczema my whole life since i was a baby and now im 28. even till today if i dont take care of it, it will flair up again.
the fastest way to make it go away is this elomet ointment(steroid ointment). if its really bad get steroid jab at ur butt(last resort and cant take too many)
go see skin doctor also, get their opinions. good luck.

This shouldn't be applied continuously for more than a week as told by (several) docs. It caused skin becomes thin. Not sure how true though.

Please don't spread wrong info. Topical application of steroid will not cause big size/fat. BIg size/fat is caused IF ONE INGEST STEROID over a long time. If you don't believe what I said, you are welcome to ask any doctor/skin doctor that question.
Topical application of steroid will cause thining of the area applied, rash, patches of pale skin in the long run.

About RM25/tube. Was considering this or Out of Africa pure and unrefined shea butter with vanilla flavor (pack of 3). Out of Africa is much more cost economical as it cost only RM40 for 3 tubes.

For those who uses aloe vera as mask, here is a simple receipt to boost youe aloe vera effectiveness.
1/5-1/4 aloe vera leaf
1/4 Cucumber with skin
1/2-1 red/orange tomato
1 tsp extra Virgin olive oil
1 tsp virgin coconut oil

Add the above to a blender, blend it and pour into a bowl and you are good to go.

It really depends on what do you seek to gain from your face mask. I use my mask to clean my skin, extract all impurities & makes the skin soft. Good anti-pimples solution.

If I wanna moisturize my face, I'll just use a face cream moisturizer.
