the HDMI is only beneficial if you hv a full HD tv i.e. 1080p and it's only apparent to naked eyes if you hv a 40" tv or bigger. How many of us hv a 40" or larger Full HD tv anyway...even those guys in UK are mostly using 32" LCD tv (32" LCD tv is the highest selling tv size sold there according to What HiFi Home Cinema mag)..
besides xbox360 is capable of 1080p output now using the VGA input so for us "so called" early adopters there's not much to worry if MS announce for real that they are releasing this 360 Zephyr... As for the 120GB hard disk...it's good to have but i'm sure if we need it MS will sell it as an add-on later...as for me i dont think it's a necessity cos the movie dload service is not available in Spore let alone us in Msia...Msia is not even in the list of Xbox Live country....might as well just stream ur movies thru our 360....that's my 2 cents though...some of u might think otherwise... nway we're open to hv our own opinion but if MS do release the new version it's better for us consumers cos we hv more options...frankly i think if MS do come out with the Zephyr it's just to compete with PS3 so that 360 wont look weaker on paper....in the meantime let us enjoy our marvellous 360 in the year 2007!! |

its just hdmi which isnt for everybody and TheSpecialist is working on a way to use other HDD on your 360.IMHO,if the price is 1000 more than the premium, its just not worth it.

QUOTE(marauderz @ Jan 6 2007, 02:24 PM) I don't think you can split the audio from a HDMI connection, cause it's meant to be as one so you can't illegally copy the signal! Of course one would have the option to use optical output or thru regular RCA as the audio output instead of thru HDMI. It's like that from the start, not everyone has a receiver with HDMI u know. |

Looks like there's an updated version of the 360. Might be coming out soon.

dang, just about to purchase one in VERY near time!
while the HDMI is waaay too far fetch for me (no money for that kinda luxury), a way BIGGER hd and BETTER cpu sound veryyyy worth a wait (the ironic part in this is IVE YET TO OWN ONE, SO HOW DO I KNOW?! heehee) and now with this rumour around, M$ will have to get it out (if it turns out to be real indeed) lose money on all waiting-to-buy customers but really, the question really is do you wanna play RainbowSix Vegas NOW (WHILE ITS HOT!), OR 3/4/6 months/a year later? argh!!!!!!! |

Since we are talking about 360 new revision. It is also good to consider what other thing that might be better in the new revision. For instance HDMI port!
Visit the following Xbox Scene link. That is a possibility due to 65nm process and 360 motherboard revision. For me the 65 nm process is good enough reason to wait. Cheers!!! |

Maybe a built-in power adaptor like PS3? I just hate to look at the huge power brick. Visit the following Xbox Scene link. That is a possibility due to 65nm process and 360 motherboard revision. How important is the HDMI port?? How many of you do have a TV with HDMI port? The larger HDD I understand might come in handy for some people, but why's everyone seems so worked up over the HDMI port.
Yes, I don't have the pleasure of owning a HDMI capable TV. Just a plain 480P tube. |
