Wtf, mashit change my maxis one 158 to maxis 1gb today. I decided to port out to celcom 2 months back, and this mashit ppl call and offer 'special' price with rm68 for the maxis one 158 with 5gb data package with 2 year contracts. Then out of sudden they changed my plan to maxis 1gb data without notification?! Anyone facing the same issue? They really farked up. I have yet to call them and screw them. Really mashit. If they really do so, changing my plan without informing, I will Lodge the report to mcmc. Big fat con shit company.

I was offer maxis 158 with discount RM 80 per month, so to pay rm68 for that plan to get 5gb of data and free calls. So I expect them to upgrade my free data to the new tariff rather than downgrading me to maxis one 1gb and upgrade me back to the same old maxis 5gb, isn't this cheating? Wtf

What do you mean first they give 5gb for rm158, then "promo" 5gb for Rm68 bit "downgraded" to 1gb? And then you say after that back to 5gb? what are you saying actually? And 158 - 80 = 78 la dei.

Like I said, maybe it's 1+4 thing. Same as what they did with that East Malaysia Rm68 deal where subscribers of that deal get 1+4gb. You are given 1gb first and when finish, only then you can use the 4gb

I don't think it's cheating per se, since (in the case of the East Malaysia plan) you'd still get 5gb. It's just that it's like a hidden t&c. It's unfortunate, but you can't really say they scammed you.

I think he was offered rm68 for 5gb (Maxisone 158 with discount) but then maxis change the plan to rm98 with 1+4gb.

Maxisone 98 don't have spotify premium.

Maxis scammed him because do you think he will cancel the port out if they offer those rm98 plan and not rm68 plan? This is the special extravaganza plan to those unloyal customer and not a standard offer ( not the same as em plan)

What's the issue? Before this RM68(RM158-RM90 rebate) for 5GB, now RM68 (RM98-RM30 rebate) for 5GB. Nothing has changed except the name of your plan right?

i think that 1GB is on top of ur normal GB plan. Part of the new campaign to increase the monthly GB so they prorate as it is in middle of month. if u open ur maxis app also it show only 1GB but fear not once the 1GB finish, ur normal monthly GB shud run normally. That is what explained by their customer service and what i experience myself. u guys shudnt hate maxis altogether. im not saying that they are right either. indeed they cheated before but im impress on how they listen to theyre customer rant and doing something about it unlike our Gov that never listen to rakyat rant at all.

Before:TS get MOP158 plan with 5gb data and unlimited call and sms.RM158 and rebate RM90=RM68.MOP158 plan can get the free Spotify premium and 15gb for Spotify usage.
Now:TS get MOP98 plan with 5gb data (1gb+4gb) and unlimited call and sms.RM98 and rebate RM30=RM68.MOP98 plan cannot get the free Spotify premium and 15gb for Spotify usage.

The 158 plan will update on end of this month and get 12gb data.

Most of us promo Celcon because in term of coverage and value.

Digi offer almost same as Celcom but Digi coverage not that good.

UMobile offer alot more better compare to Celcom but its time limited til end of this year and i dont want start talking about UMobile coverage.. vomit blood..

Step 1: Make sure you complain on their MaxShit Maxis facebook page. Let everyone know their Stupid Secret Stunts this round !!! ranting.gif

Step 2: Walk into Celcom or Digi centre. Port out to Celcom or Digi thumbup.gif

Step 3: Spread the news of their "Double / Triple / Octa-Deca Standards" in treating customers ranting.gif

I think Maxshit Maxis goes down in Malaysian / Asian history as "The Best Telco Company Turning into the Worse Telco Company" no fair and just treatment!!! Sure you know what I mean

And If I not mistake ,the rebate didn't tie with contract with "penalty"

I have called up the farking 123, as what I have predicted. They downgraded my MOP 158 with 5gb of data to MOP 98 with 1gb of data. THE REASON BEING: THEY WILL UPGRADE THE MOP 98 TO 5GB OF DATA. So guys, do you see how the maxis do the scam?! I SIGNED UP FOR MOP 158 NOT the 5GB OF data. How can a company simply downgrade the plan of a user without even informing (i found out when i check the mymaxis app). NOT EVEN A SMS. MASHIT, U FUCKING BIG SCAM BAG. DON'T TRY TO CON PEOPLE BY SIMPLY CHANGING THE PLAN, U SEE!

about the 1gb of data, try using all that 1gb of data and see if any message comes that say you get free 4gb or not

thanks for the suggestion, I was burst in anger since yesterday but was caught up with work. Anyway, i think talking to them won't help much, as I am not the only one that they are doing to, a few of my friends has the same issue. Meaning that maxis is quietly scamming us. I opted to port out to celcom 1 month plus back, and i got called from maxis representative for an offer if i stay on with maxis. i took the offer of maxis one plan 158 with 5gb of data. every month pay rm68 instead of rm158 for 2 years contract. But today, i noticed my plan was changed to MOP 98 with 1gb of data. I was not informed nor notified regarding the changes, and when i call them up they just keep telling me i will get the 5gb of data at the end of month, I signed up for MOP 158 with free 5gb data. I didn't sign up for 5gb data at the first place. How can a company simply downgrade my plan and tell consumer that you are getting the same amount of data, I should be getting the same MOP 158 with whatever data they plan to upgrade. This is unacceptable and i felt i was being SCAM with 2 years contract. Kindly please clarify with this brilliant cheating company. thank you.

I have called them and verify with them, my package now is maxis one 98 which will soon upgrade from 1gb to 5gb. the issue is not with the amount of data, but the way they do it - its more of like scamming - downgrade your plan without informing, and quietly change your plan without your knowledge. is this acceptable?

its more of like being cheated. At first u were offered MOP 158/188, then after 2 months MASHIT silently downgrade the plan to MOP 98!!!! without informing!!!!! The offer was made thru phone. They didn't read out each terms and conditions to us. So technically, it is obvious that we accept the offer without reading the terms and conditions and they had agreed to provide their service without the terms and conditions.

One more thing, why the so called new package is 1GB + 4GB, etc. They want to let you know that you package is only 1GB and the 4GB is promotional. Once thing settle down and telco war ended, maxis can simply remove the promotional 4GB anytime they want and they know clearly you won't port out anymore. Cunning move by maxis.

It is not we are greedy but maxis is stupid. There is no reason for them to downgrade the 'special discount' MOP158 and MOP188 users to MOP98 with some perks. They should remain the MOP158 and MOP188 for 'special discount' user and create new MOP158A and MOP188A for their loyal customer to enjoy the upgraded data. Doing this way, the 'special discount' users can't complain and water fish customers are happy.

well ur analogy makes sense. however you're missing 1 thing.

honda city - they add all the accesories except 1 thing is still missing

mc chicken - they did not give the 'toy' that comes with it.

in MOP158's case, they should also include spotify premium and that data share plan thingy.

MOP98, doesnt have free spotify premium and data share plan.

So if Maxis downgrade special MOP158 customers, they are actually taking some of the benefits those special customers are entitled to.

CS called based on my yesterday complaint, quite effective when they said new 5 days to retrieve the recorded conversation. She said i will stay at MOP98 but with 9GB (free 4GB as long as I stayed in the plan) but i have to pay for spotify premium. Blasted her again, i told her what i need is 7GB (if they want to give extra, I will be thankful), unlimited calls and sms and spotify premium with 15GB streaming with RM88 for 2 years. She still can't fulfilled the spotify so i told her, as fas as I'm concerned, I'm still subcribe to MOP188 plan with RM100 rebate. Maxis system had been illegally migrate me to MOP98 which I will not accept. Ask her to lodge a complaint again, she said the outcome will be the same. I told her, then I will lodge my complaint everyday. One i have enough complaint reference, i will go to SKMM and tribunal court. If spotify is given, then all issues will end as simple as that. I told her, u give me 9GB also useless as I already find it hard to finish the 8GB now. Let see what will happened next.
I know I being difficult but I'm exercising my right as consumer.

Had the same case with TS, MOP 158 turned into MOP 98, spotify not included anymore.
Called CS, they said MOP158 shown initially in apps was just a header for 5GB data...wth.

Right now i'm seeing my data in maxis apps as follow:
1)Free 3GB (45 days)
2)Free 4GB monthly ( I suppose this bundle together with 1GB previously)
3)MaxisOne 5GB

This cannot be right, as I'm sure they would have told you it's MOP158 with RM90 rebate when you agreed. You should ask for the recording of the call when you agreed to the contract.

Depends on your area maybe? It was the exact opposite for me, since switching to celcom I've been getting faster and more consistent data. Wish I made the switch sooner. Maxis has better coverage at my house but since I have wifi at home, doesn't really matter.

If you're thinking to switch telcos, better buy their prepaid pack and test their lines for a few days.

Exact opposite for me too. Better coverage in office and at home for me. Also better data throughput. Most importantly, carry forward data, 5% rebate and no more constant data quota checking worry anymore!

The downgrading not only affect benefits like Spotify, but also affect Maxis Home Fibre rebate!! Was enjoying rebate as my plan was 188 MOP, now not sure rebate still applicable.

I'm from maxisone 158 > celcom first gold 80 > digi postpaid 78v.

- Maxis got 4g coverage everywhere even in my house but unstable (keep changing to 3g).
- Celcom 4g coverage also everywhere except in my house (emergency call only).
- Digi got 4g in some place i frequent, but only 3g in my house (with full speed).

The problem with choosing the telco is now because of my house. It's reall weird, outside my house about 100 meter to the main road, all telco like digi, maxis and celcom got 4g full speed (25Mbps to 49Mbps). I'm in Pengkalan Chepa, Kelantan.

So you're right, i'm still thinking to port back to mop158 because of spotify premium + free unlimited sms + 4g coverage. Now i'm checking if the plan can be used fo torrenting or not because that is the only way i can finish my quota tongue.gif

That was agreed on the counter offer.
The package MOP158 should be remains as 5GB with spotify and MOP188 remains as 7GB + 1GB for first 6 months with spotify. All RM68 and RM188 remain in this package.
Create new package like MOP158A with 15GB and upgrade all normal user of MOP158 to this package. Same goes to MOP188.

We are not happy and we want to port out and it was maxis who want to retain us with the counter offer. Legally, the can't change the plan as they wish without our agreement.

Learn to respect when ur in forum . some of us still decide to stay with maxis due to contract . u can't force most of us to mnp out frm maxis . it's undeniable that maxis still offer a better services compare to other telco ,at least for me . water fish there water fish here ...zzzzz....

Think rationally ...no point MNP out and come back to maxis after few weeks ...u got to pay rm10 stamp duty and waste ur time as well...

yes, n now with new MOP/MOS plan announced, many "water fish" swim back to Maxis as it's obviously more competitive n with better network quality compare with Celcom (as most ppl ported to celcom, the poor quality is due to my wife experience n also feedback from another threat)..

got such thing as loyalty promo? anyway, only a handful of subscribers got counter-offer with customized package, so i dun think it's a big issue now since Maxis has new plans for the rest of us.. the new MOS plan is really a good deal~

I never said people stayed back is water fish, I'm also stayed back with maxis and one of the cowards who accepted maxis counter offer. Only people happily pay and accept whatever service given by maxis without voicing out and said people are greedy when we fight more for everyone are falled into water fish category.

Maxis tried to shut the mouth of so callled fence sitter by offering them better benefit with discount. Yes ,agree with u .however , maxis reserved the right to offer diff pricing to their customers. It's like ur boss reserved the right to offer u higher increment to u only , and not ur colleague .

Maxis reserve the right to offer diff pricing, it must has the criteria of offering so everyone know whether they can meet the criteria or not.
Same like increments, yr boss will give you kpi to meet.

In business, those criteria are only theory . u hardly able to apply those criteria to the market . it is very hard .

My increment based on how I make my boss happy. No criteria etc . if my boss happy , give me 10% increment annually . no happy , 6% ...lol

i hope u already tested the celcom coverage at ur residence/working area b4 port out.. my wife ported to celcom, at bkt serdang home signal bar is only 2, at kepong laman rimbunan in law house totally no line.. so? gonna port back to maxis as MOS under my line.. after all the hassle, feel abit paiseh to the blue cube staff, n feel like all the effort wasted..

I used celcom before, so far is ok. If not ok, then can simply port back. Got nothing to lose. Maxis got no integrity till not able to honor their simple promise. Hopefully the 1 million subscribers will port back to maxis then celcom and digi networks will be less congested.

Anyone getting extra charges for the current month bill? As they brilliantly downgrade our plan as well as our rebate from rm90 per month to rm30. Even though I'm on their new plan for 2 days. 2 FREAKING DAYS. I have yet to call and verify with them. Just wondering anyone has already figure it out with this legendary idiot telco.

yes, you got it right.

but along the line, during the same billing month, he was first on mop158 then maxis changed him to mop98.

they prorate the plan, but didn't prorate the rebate.

I have called up Maxis CS.. i oso found out i was downgraded to MOP98 from MOP158. Reason i called Maxis CS was about activating Spotify for RM9.99 as it shud b free for MOP158 subscriber.

However the CS says that the Spotify RM9.99 fee will be waived from my bill. Did anyone received the same thing?

Sorry if this was mentioned as there was 150 post before me which is too much to read...

I didn't lodge my complaints at SKMM since maxis give me 7GB + 1GB for first 6 months and spotify for RM88 for 2 yrs. It was exactly the same benefits that i agreed on.

The free VOD 5GB is confusing. I somehow have it listed as one of my data quotas even though I don't use or subscribe to the services which the quota is meant for, namely iFlix, Viu, ErosNow and Hopster. To make the matter more confusing, the quota has depleted by 520MB, not sure how it got depleted when I don't use these services. Anyone has any idea what could have used up this quota? I do subscribe to their Spotify Premium though.

I don't think Spotify consumes this VOD quota, and Spotify is supposed to be on promotion with unlimited data until September 30th, after which a cap of 15GB applies, separate from all the other data caps. And that's the mystery. What on earth is using the VOD data cap. Anyhow, perhaps I shouldn't care. But I'm bothered by the mystery. Might give their CS a call when I get a moment to spare.

Perhaps Maxis should revamp their MaxisONE plan again and give 10GB data to MOP98. Don't mind if it is something like DiGi's SP80 7GB + 3GB (10GB). At least MOP98 still comes with unlimited texts and not just unlimited calls to all networks which some might find useful (about the unlimited texts feature).
